I don't understand some of these questions. Bananas and oranges can't knock on doors. I suppose a chicken could cross the street, if you lived in a place where you would let your chicken roam wild, although I can't imagine why. Your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps it stems from the warped ideal some still hold that females should be blonde, beautiful and unintelligent that they might make their husband look better by association. I'm sure it hasn't escaped your notice that most forms of humour centred around hair colour tend towards female pronouns.
