This is a kinda-sorta Doctor Who-related post.

i. My class spent the last two days constructing croquenbouches, or French cakes made out of cream puffs. I wanted to make a Dalek cake because, well, with their conical shape and the fact that they've an abundance of dome-shaped bits, croquenbouche already kind of look like Daleks. Throw in a whisk for the plunger and you've got the Doctor's worst ( Read more... )

OH MY GOD, ANNE, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. Fabulously delicious looking cake made out of French pastries? Buying a VERY cute dress in large part because of its connection to Karen Gillan/Amy? MAKING THE MOST ADORABLE DOCTOR AND AMY LEGO MINIFIGS I'VE EVER SEEN?

Why don't I live in California so we can be this awesome together on a daily basis? AHH, WHAT IS MY LIFE, WHAT ARE MY CHOICES.

In closing, you are incredible, I love you, I miss you, we should talk more often, le fin. ♥

Ugh, I've been such a terrible online friend, I know. I miss you, too! Hopefully I'll have more time/things to talk about once winter break starts in a few weeks. Then we can be fangirly together again, as it should be :D

Dude, the scene from your icon is one of my favoritest Eleven/Amy moments. Their glee is intoxicating!

Everything in this post is amazing. DOCTOR WHO LEGOS!!! omg I love that you have different outfits for them and the BOWTIE. I applaud you for your ingenuity.

That dress is so lovely! It does look really comfortable, where did you get it from?

It took me so long to hunt down all of the different parts, but what can I say, I'm a perfectionist :)

Thank you! I actually got it from JC Penney from Charlotte Ronson's line there. It's a little bit darker in color in person, but it's a nice dress to wear in cooler weather.

lmao the fez! For some reason I always find lego hands hilarious.

Love that dress - I would never be able to pull that off, though, that kind of cut just doesn't look right on me.

I was looking up Lego parts online and when I saw that they had made fez parts, I knew I had to get one. And Lego hands are indeed hilarious.

Thanks!

YOU MADE A SPACESHIP CAKE, that is amazing. So nerdy, in the best possible way. I keep scrolling up to make a *______* face at it!!!

ALSO THAT DRESS IS GREAT, I want one :( It looks like it'd look really good on, that kind of structure is usually super flattering.

When you put the two nerdiest people in the class together in a group, you're bound to get something like this :D

It's so comfy and it is pretty flattering. I think it's going to be a new favorite piece in my wardrobe.

Eleven and Amy are currently hanging out in front of my computer speakers, and while it's not quite the Byzantium, they do look a bit alien-like.

Haha, it's funny that you would say that because it's totally inedible! We made them for display purposes and Chef Nick later sprayed hairspray all over them so that they would hold up. Not so delicious anymore :P
