The new season of True Blood starts this Sunday and yet I'm strangely not that excited about it, which is weird because towards the end of last season it felt as though the episodes couldn't air soon enough. Then again, maybe that's the norm for me, having a passing interest at the beginning of the season that soon escalates into a full-blown

Something about the novels being about her story, I suppose. But there's nothing wrong with fixing something that obviously isn't working and focusing on what does!

Oh I understand the actual reason. But yes - exactly. Not to mention, the whole Bill/Sookie thing is very typical of a vampire story, esp these days. Would have been nice and quite a change for the focus to be on the vamps.

Yeah, I'm kind of over the human falls in love with a vampire trope. I picked the three vamps I have on the cover art because they're not tortured about being vampires, but rather embrace it and have fun with it. They have a lust for life that is insatiable, given that they will live forever, and they'll do what they want, when they want it.
