I'm totally asking for cash and cash alone this Christmas because I can't quit waving my credit card around whenever I see something pretty. On the other hand, I will have this hanging on my wall in due time:
Oh man, that is awesomely awesome and full of pretty! I remember this one site that sold a bunch of posters like these from different bands; did you get it from there?
Very shiny, yes? It's not the show I went to, but it's part of the same tour, so that's close enough.
There's actually a lot of sites out there that sell band posters. I bought this straight from Aesthetic Apparatus, the artist group(?) who designed the poster.
I agree, some of it looks collaged/decoupaged, but chances are it was done digitally. The text appears to be handwritten, but it's possible that it was drawn with a tablet in Photoshop.
I agree, it's very pretty! Like Britta said, it was probably made in Photoshop or Illustrator using ephemera from different sources. It reminds me of stuff you'd find in one of One Good Bumblebee's Piles of Paper.
It used to be the same with me, but I'm trying to cut back on my DVD purchases. The only things I'm letting myself want right now are Flight of the Conchords, various Charlie Brown specials, and State of Play, because I've waited so long for it to release Stateside.
Besides, I haven't had much time to even watch stuff lately. That Buffy boxset? Still in the plastic. But hopefully I'll get the chance to crack it open when winter break comes around.
I know what'cha mean, especially being picky and in your head it's like "oh man that money spent could've gone in my wallet" But then at the same time being totally appreciative that they got you something in the first place!
