they are probably guardng a vast treasure, of either precious gems or bread crumbs

...until they congregate over the graveyard & you have to walk by the blatant death omen every single day in the bitter cold.

i also got pooped on by a bat last year, & i get worried it'll happen again every time i walk through the diag & see the mounds of crow poop after they chill there all afternoon.
