I'm so happy to see this posted! I love the added bit about how Gadreel can be with Sam forever now: it's absolutely chilling to think of Sam being trapped with his rapist/stalker, unable to escape even in death.

Well done.
I had really wished The Show would touch a little more on the parallels between Gadreel and Sam, but was kind of glad it didn't, because they would have done it with a sledgehammer. This was much more satisfying.

Thank you! I do love the Gadreel & Sam parallels, they're really fun to explore in fanfic and I'm glad you think I did it well :) I agree, I think the Show would not have been able to do it subtly. Actually, sometimes I wonder if the show is even aware of some of these parallels...

Wow, what a compliment! Thank you :D
I'm really happy the fic has succeeded on all those levels. I kinda feel like Dean (and some of fandom) don't understand how risky that deal was -- Dean could have quite easily given up Sam to a really hostile angel like Bartholomew.
But I think the fic mainly came about through me musing on the kinky potentials of the storyline lol XD
