About this original Goose you can read in the book "Our journey from childhood drem to Gold".
"They finally found a workable version of the lift people had started calling the Eagle, becouse Tessa looked as if she were flying. But that sounded too American for a Canadian couple, so they renamed it The Goose, in honour of one of Canada´s national symbol."
I did not know about it ealier. Not the Eagle,but the Goose. =)

AFAIK from "Pirouette" figure skating magazine this lift with a take off like Tessa does is forbidden now, because it is very dangerous for ice dance couples.

I think they were trying to find a funny twist on "the goose" and so "mongoose" was perfect.

Also, it would be really fun if you loaded an Adam icon to use. Are you interested?
