"Kaitzur..." Tear thought aloud. Cantabile had to be aware that Luke and Tear weren't in possession of passports. Given that Tear came to Baticul undercover in the first place, official proceedings weren't part of her plans, and she didn't take hers with her in case it was stolen during the assassination attempt and she could be identified through it. Cantabile wasn't stupid; she had to have a plan. And given that her priority was to get Luke back to Baticul, Kimlasca at least, this was the best course of action. "How will be deal with supplies until we reach Kaitzur, General?"

Cantabile raised an eyebrow at Tear's question. "Oh, you didn't pick any up when you were in Engeve? Odd, I got information about where you two went from overhearing some shopkeepers."

"But then, wasn't that part of what Legretta trained you on? I'm somehow not surprised."

Of course she'd never miss a chance for a dig at Legretta. Though it is true that a soldier's failures do fall onto who trained them also.

"As far as supplies go, I did make sure I was well stocked. Between that and our ingenuity, we should not have any need to stop in St. Binah or Engeve and open ourselves up to trouble. Of course, it won't be what our young noble here is used to."

"Luke. The name is Luke." That last thing he wanted was the soldiers referring to him by his title alone. He'd be labeled as such forever, making it impossible to be accepted into their ranks in the future. What did she mean by that, any way? He might not be familiar with this kind of activity, but he thought he was handling the situation pretty darn well!

Whatever. He was on his way to being reunited with his master. There was hardly a better escort to get him back home safely, so he decided not to cause a scene by addressing the meaning behind what she said.

"How far is Kaitzur from here, any way? We'll be with Master Van soon, right? I'm sure he'll have all the supplies we'll need."

Tear didn't wish to respond to Cantabile, since she was well aware that anything she would say to her would just be more of an opening for her to take a jab at her. She didn't bother mentioning that she would have stopped for supplies at Engeve, if it weren't for the fact that Luke so earnestly wanted to go to the Cheagle Woods in order to catch the true culprit. "Kaitzur is on the border between Kimlasca and Malkuth." She tried to explain to Luke. "Considering we're on the northern part of this continent and Kaitzur is on the southern tip, it'll be a while before we reach there; it's even farther than the Rotelro bridge."
