My birthday

Today's my birthday! Seems like an ordinary day, though. Looks like brunch with Mom and Dad after church (yep, trying the new one today). They always remember my birthday! Moms and Dads are great ( Read more... )

Hi Shannon....
Gee I miss you, too. Thanks for the fun comments. It's so great hearing from you! Schools going well and I'll have three classes done by November when I hope to come back to visit. I'll be there almost a week (I hope). I'll know for sure when I get done with one of the two I'm taking now. I can see if I really do get the breaks I'm counting on.
Thanks for responding to my posts. This is a benefit I hadn't expected!

Rag Doll CAT! ripp_torn September 27 2004, 13:34:43 UTC
I'm so glad you guys had me do this. What a fun way to stay in touch. And I'm so glad to get your message. We went to Park City yesterday to see the trees. It was beautiful! What a fun way to spend my birthday. We also had lunch up there. Today I've got class so I got up at 5:30 to finish one of my assignments. I'm hoping to meet with the Dean this week (she happens to be one of my teachers), so I'm trying to impress her with my work. We'll see ( ... )

It's so fun to get this message from you! ripp_torn September 27 2004, 13:25:27 UTC
Hey Jayme! Somehow it didn't occur to me that I'd get to connect with you too! I'm so glad to hear from you. I miss you and Matthew, too. The cats are doing fine. In fact, they spend a lot of time outside now and seem to be purring a lot. Life is good, hope to close on the house and begin moving in soon. I'm planning on bringing in a roommate or two to cover costs (get rental income). That way I can maintain control over the house and spend time in my own space.
Mom and Dad are great. I'm having fun, working hard, and yes....finding myself! Lots of dreams. You know, I'll be to a point soon where I can entertain guests, and Utah can be a fun place to visit! It'd be fun having you come down!
Love ya'

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADRE! right_place September 27 2004, 07:57:46 UTC
School can’t be that much work. I wonder what you’ll do with all that spare time? It’ll drive you crazy I’m sure. You should probably use it to find yourself. Your interests are looking rather lean.
Remember, you’re mother career is officially over, or at least part time. Thats a huge void to fill.
With that in mind, you shouldn’t be depressed. Kids leave the nest around this time anyway. Separation was bound to happen.
You know we’ll probably visit as soon as this Christmas.

LOVE,
ANTONIO

Yep, motherhood is definitely part time at this stage. And yep, there is a huge void. And yep, I am using the time to find myself (and hopefully that job I'm studying for). Actually, it's surprising how quickly my time gets used up. Yesterday we went to Park City to see the trees. It was beautiful. Then I helped Mom finish building a hamper she'd purchased (cute white thing with LOTS of parts). But I gotta' say, school is definitely time consuming. Especially now when I'm trying to complete two classes at the same time. I have to do a presentation tonight, and I'm a little nervous. But hey, I know I can do it!
Thanks for the feedback...and the well wishes.

Thanks, Anthony.

I thought of you a lot yesterday. By the way, you left your CD down here. I've been playing ever since you left. Kinda' like hearing it now. Should I send it back? I also have one of your red tee shirts.

Love you! MOM
