I saw Tyrone Wells live this weekend, on Saturday at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ. I normally wouldn't go to a bar in Jersey on a weekend, and I won't say anything mean about Jersey because I actually really loved the venue and the performance. I was impressed by the opener, Jason Reeves

so off-topic one of my friends from high school went to Pepperdine. I heard of Tyson Wells, but never his music, nor have I gone to a bar in Jersey lol

yea Jersey's a bit out of the way sometimes. the path trains run slow weekend nights (every half hour after midnight), so it doesn't really mix with going to a bar.

but yea, I almost went to Pepperdine, but my sister went there instead. I visited her a few times, amazing campus, it was the only school we both applied to (my sister and I are twins, wanted to go to different schools). Even though I got accepted, I thought it was too conservative, and far from LA.

yea, Church of Christ.

I didn't think it was that christian, but they really are not just 'Christian in name' just St. John's. When I went to orientation week with my sister, they prayed before the dean's welcoming. and she would tell me how many students invited her to youth ministry and in half her classes the professors would pray before class.

I'm a spiritual person, but i wouldn't want to go to school in that sort of environment. Of course the campus and location is tempting, who wouldn't want to spend 4 years in Malibu?
