PS - Am I the only one who finds it strange that William didn't know they were going to be covering their song on a major TV show?

"American Idol cast just sang Big Mess for a Ford commercial?! Awesome! Were muddy pickup trucks involved?"

It just seems... strange. I get that the recording company pretty much owns the rights, but yeah, that just seems like something you get told...

I'm not really surprised they didn't know, mostly because AI keeps what the singers sing under wraps until the night of the show for their individual songs, so I can imagine it's the same for the group numbers. Like, a couple months ago, one of the contestants sang "Sugar, We're Going Down" and Pete didn't know about it until after the fact.
