I love Handplates Gaster too, hehe. I remember how surprised I was when it became clear that he's not a heartless psychopath or anything like that. Papyrus part had to come from somewhere after all.

I suppose Zuko falls into the first category, for betraying his uncle in particular.

Handplates Gaster is such a great character! I've been following Zarla's work for a long time - her Pokémon fanfiction is actually what inspired me to start writing fanfiction myself, over twenty years ago - and I'm constantly impressed by her ability to build layered, fun, interesting characters out of very little canon material.

Zarla's work is so amazing and inspiring that I often can't grasp how it can even be just a FANFICTION. Sometimes I wonder if Undertale would even stay with me if it weren't for Handplates.
