I drifted away from Persona 5 Royal for a while, but I've fallen back into it now! I'm now in early January, which means I'm in brand new territory.

Persona 5 Royal spoilers, up to early January. )

when they cry, persona, persona 5

I've delighted that you've finally gotten to third semester! I was hoping you'd come around to Joker/Akechi, but I suppose you haven't finished the game yet. Third semester Akechi is a delight, to be sure, and pretty much what got me into the pairing. I love my feral little boy. So does Joker. In a complicated fashion ( ... )

I'm definitely more interested in Joker/Akechi now than I was after finishing the base game, although Ryuji is still very much my boyfriend!

Out of curiosity, you did take Akechi's glove in rank 7 and think "I'll fulfill the promise" after he dies in Shido's Palace, right? Please tell me you did. Those dialogue choices are very important

PERSONA WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS

The answer is 'I think maybe?' to both of those things, so I suppose I'll find out! I'm particularly confused over the second thing because I'm pretty sure I chose the 'I'll fulfil the promise' answer first, then reloaded my save and chose the other answer out of curiosity, and I can't say for certain which save I continued playing with! I think it was the promise one, but who knows?

Akechi definitely said 'Make certain that you never forget: I am the one who will defeat you,' which is what he says after you accept the glove, because I noted that line down in an entry. I've been trying to find out whether he says it if your response is 'Let me think about it' as well ( ... )

Apparently "let me think about it" is also an acceptable answer? But I dearly hope you did pick "I'll fulfill the promise" for the other one. I guess we'll find out! Most of my fics revolve around how 2/2 goes if you've picked the right dialogue options. It's prime brainworm material.

I have no idea why this suddenly came to mind, but have you played the RPG Maker horror game Ib? It just got a remake on Steam and it's a very charming way to spend a few hours. Manlybadasshero's done LPs of both it and the original, if you don't want to deal with more "didn't make the right choices so didn't get the best ending" problems, which are a staple of the genre.
