The second chapter of Deltarune came out a few days ago! I replayed the first chapter, to refresh my memory (and because I'd lost my save when switching computers), and then charged through chapter two at a frankly ill-advised clip.

CHAPTER 2 WAS REALLY GOOD and I have so many questions, haha.

Good note about Asriel's room and not Ralsei's! It's also strange that Kris just refuses to look in there, and also that Kris really hates looking at other humans in the book in the library. Kris seems to have some issues about their humanness. Kris is such a fascinating character so far! They do seem lonely, just a poor edgy weird kid, haha. I was also a weird edgy kid, Kris, I relate to you!

I really do wonder about Kris pulling out their soul before you show up too, since they have the birdcage set up there so they've been doing it for a while. But whose control were they escaping? Some other entity? I know people keep throwing out Gaster but I dunno, I feel like it has to be more complicated than that.

Have you checked out the Snowgrave route yet? It's SUPER interesting. I can tell you how to do it if you don't want to watch a video, haha. I'd recommend doing it yourself, it's intense!

I read the post you made about Deltarune, and I'm amused that the thoughts we've expressed on Ralsei seem to be pretty much identical: we didn't trust him before, we trust him even less now, the fact that there's a room for Asriel instead of him is weird, the fact that he doesn't turn to stone is weird, and he was cuter with his hat on.

Kris is such a fascinating character so far!

Yes! I'm impressed that Kris manages to be so interesting when, at a glance, they seem so similar to Frisk. Both Kris and Frisk are characters who barely feel present in their own games, but Kris is fascinating because they seem to resent that.

I'd recommend doing it yourself, it's intense!

WHAT IS RALSEI UP TO, HE'S UP TO SOMETHING

Kris is definitely different from the kid in Undertale, haha. It's a matter of reflective characterization like with Gordon Freeman! Just hearing other people reflecting back their history to a silent protagonist really goes so far in helping them feel like their own person.

I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT EITHER I didn't think there'd be an alt route after there wasn't one in chapter one I SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE SUSPICIOUS. The thing is I feel like I could've stumbled on it myself since i DID do a fight route, but I just didn't kill anyone with her ice magic. If I'd done that, I might have just fallen into it myself! It's cool that it's so hidden though. :O Extra effort and determination needed to make your own choice in the game, even at the expense of Kris and Noelle's, haha.

IT IS it's so sad. :< Telling herself she's getting stronger as she just becomes more subservient to Kris, it's such a paradox!
