It's Us Versus The Rursus. Things Couldn't Get Any Worse-us.

Assassin's Creed is now the single fandom in which I have written the most by wordcount. In about six months, it managed to beat the record it took Top Gear a year and a half to set. I loved my time in Top Gear fandom, and it was where some of my strongest fandom friendships were forged, but it was a slightly odd thing to have at the top of my ( Read more... )

british comedians, recording recaps, final fantasy, final fantasy type-0, mitchell and/or webb, top gear, assassin's creed, on writing, first impressions

right. it has been many, many years since i went by my lj name (sos_your_face), and quite a while since i even thought about this site.

today i was watching gravity falls and immediately thought, "i should cross this over with silent hill."

i just wanted you to know that you've clearly had a permanent impact on my fandom experiences. (im not sure that "thank you" is the right reaction to this "i love this. i should make it horrifying!" urge, but...thanks, anyway!)

I'm so happy to hear this. (And it's good to see you again!)

As it happens, I have a link to some Gravity Falls/Silent Hill fanart lying around, because of course I do.

this is your legacy and how the world will remember you in centuries to come. good to see you too! hope everythings going well with you? i still get fond LJ nostalgia every so often in class (such as when my lecturer introduced himself with "i specialise in children's screen media and also the horror series Silent Hill", or whenever I cite Charlie Brooker instead of a valid academic reference), it's nice to see someone still keeping it alive.

i would have expected no less, and it just made me want the crossover more.

It's the legacy I've always dreamt of. (And I think I need to meet your lecturer.)

I'm determined to keep this place alive for as long as I can. I may be shouting into the void, but the void really needs to hear my important opinions on videogames, so I'm tied forever to the great wasteland of Livejournal. And it's worth it if old friends pass by occasionally!

(You should write the crossover.)
