Alphabet Ficsnippets, Obscure Japanese Fandom Edition.

Back in June of 2012, I posted the first six ficlets for a self-imposed challenge: a ficlet for each letter of the alphabet, each concerning two characters whose names begin with that letter.

Now, eleven months later (I am the slowest person in the world), here are the second six ficlets! Fandoms represented are DN Angel, Princess Tutu, Avatar:

I like these!

Duck is adorable, and also charmingly awkward.

Iroh and Hanako are lovely (Iroh is so lovely!), and Zuko/Hanako or Zuko&Hanako is adorable, too.

RUMPLESTILTSKIN IS AS NIGHTMARISH AS HE IS IN THE SHOW. Poor, poor Rinoa; I really like/am saddened by the last three lines of dialogue. The last one is pretty brilliant.

MONOBEAR IS AN ASSHOLE. And I really like this one - Monobear and his endless question marks and bizarre awful bizarreness, the adorable life-saving epic cat, 'Shinigami are adorable', wonderful bored Togami.

Your Hermione and Ron voices are excellent, and so is the obscure 'lethal force' rule. And I really like Utena and her bravery and loyalty.

Duck is ridiculously cute. It only took me three episodes of Princess Tutu to decide I was going to order the DVD, because I was so charmed by her awkward babbling.

I find it hard to imagine how Zuko and Hanako would interact, but I know I'd really like to see that. (I'd also like to see more or less every character ever interacting with Iroh, because Iroh is the best.)

Have you read Dangan Ronpa, by any chance? It is just the thing to read if you like meeting loads of great characters and then, er, seeing them die tragically. JUST WHAT EVERYONE WANTS.

I'm so pleased you think I've got Hermione and Ron right! I see you as a sort of authority on Harry Potter, so that means a lot. (And Utena is wonderful, so I'm also delighted you liked her here.)

WAIT THIS IS THE CROSSOVER YOU WERE TRYING TO GET PEOPLE TO WRITE BEFORE. I forgot you tried to get people to write this before; it's a ridiculously adorable idea, more so because of Duck's hopeless awkwardness. I can understand why you like her so much.

I find it even harder, because I've never seen either show. Nonetheless, based on your ficlet, I'd like to see it. (Iroh is hopelessly wonderful. I want to interact with Iroh.)

I haven't! I tried when you recommended it, but I found the format too confusing. I CAN'T IMAGINE A HAPPIER FATE FOR MY FAVOURITE CHARACTERS THAN THAT.

I loved Duck and Daisuke <3 (it doesn't help that I think they're both just so adorable), and I heard that you read the Full Moon wo Sagashite manga as well! I'm glad you enjoyed them (even if it wasn't quite as much as the anime).

Also, have you watched the special extra video in the latest Dangan Ronpa 2 update (it's right at the start of the update)? If not, then you should. It's ridiculously adorable, and, if you're anything like me and read a lot into everything, gives a wonderful insight into Monomi's character.

Duck and Daisuke are the adorablest. I'd love to see more fanfiction about those two; I think they'd get along charmingly.

And I did indeed enjoy the Full Moon manga a lot; thank you for recommending it! I don't know if I'd say I liked the anime more, necessarily; I liked them both a great deal, but for different reasons.

A week or so before that Dangan Ronpa 2 update, my friend Fedz - the one who's helping out with the translation - mentioned that an 'amazing video' was coming up shortly. A couple of nights before it was actually posted, I dreamt that this 'amazing video' was uploaded and turned out to be an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. I think that might actually have made more sense than the reality.
