Hello, Boooooooys.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective for the Nintendo DS is definitely one of the better fivers I've spent. I was just expecting some fun puzzling; what I got was some really fun puzzling, endearing characters, great animation and a story that I'm actually quite engaged by. I have exclaimed 'WHAT IS GOING ON' multiple times at plot developments.

Hah, I just started playing Ghost Trick a couple of days ago ♥. It's one of the few games I've not managed to spoil myself for though I keep hearing good things about it, so I'm looking forward to getting further in it :3

THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU IS BASICALLY MY FAVOURITE I WISH IT WAS LESS EXPENSIVE SO MORE PEOPLE COULD PLAY IT. SKJFKSDDSKFSDKLJ I play to replay it once I'm done with Ghost Trick (and I want to replay Apollo Justice, and and and...)

/massive game backlog

I would be really interested to hear your thoughts on Ghost Trick! I've just finished it, and I really, really enjoyed it. Sort of tempted to go straight back and play it again, despite having already solved all of the puzzles.

I'll have to keep an eye out for a reasonably-priced copy of The World Ends With You, then! And I'd like to try a Phoenix Wright game at some point; I still haven't actually played any of them.

Oh oh oh you absolutely must play the Phoenix Wright games, I think you'd like them ♥. Like centralremote said, it's best to play them in order, since the first three games at least have an overall arc thing going on (and the fourth takes place after those three). The UK release schedule was crazy in that they released the fourth game before the third and for ages it looked like it wouldn't be getting the third, but we did eventually get it. Right after a friend had sent it me from the US, naturally.

The first game is still kind of my favourite, though :x I bought my DS in the first place to play Phoenix Wright, this is a decision I have not regretted once ♥. (AND NOW THE NEXT GAME IS GOING TO BE OUT ON THE 3DS AUGH WHAT DO I DO.) (Buy a 3DS, I suppose...)

I wish my DS wasn't broken. That way, I could join in on this DS adventure :<

I've heard very good things about The World Ends With you - I really wanted to get the game before my DS broke, and thought about getting the game anyway, but then... Well, how would I play it? :<

And oh Balthier. Oh Fran. Never change. ♥

That's fine; I'll just get the protagonist of Ghost Trick to go back to four minutes before your DS was broken and save its life. BRILLIANT PLAN. It is possible to play it using only the buttons, I think, but it's probably better with the touch screen.

:'D Oh protagonist of Ghost Train, that would be wonderful! Best. Plan. Ever.

So Supernatural had a unicorn in one of the episodes.

I don't THINK it's Dean who has been turned into a unicorn, but you never know.

I second all the Phoenix Wright being awesome and also Miles Edgeworth (see icon. Cravat and cerise jacket, He may outcamp your tents.) And professor layton.

Googling for cheap Ghost Trick. love my DS and have much commuting to do!

I really hope you enjoy Ghost Trick! It is an utter delight of a game, in my opinion.

I'm not sure if it's available everywhere, but TWEWY was rereleased on iPhone a little while ago. It is a *fantastic* game: the characters are really likable, the music and writing are cheesy but entertaining, and it is an RPG with fun battles. I've had the game for about four years and still play the game frequently just for the battle system. It's that good. Oh, and IMO the world has TONS of crossover potential, so there's that as well!

The Ace Attorney games (excluding the "Investigations" spinoffs) were created by the same guy who directed Ghost Trick. If possible, it's worth playing them in order; they're essentially visual novels so there are lots of references to characters and past cases.

(also, um, hello! I'm not much of an LJ person but I read your "Brooker and Mitchell WITH POKEMON" story a while back and was stupidly excited to see you also had 'metal gear solid', 'phineas and ferb', and 'life on mars' tags. Finding people with similarly-unusual combinations of interests is always a treat.)

I don't have any iDevices, sadly, so I'm going to have to keep an eye out for a DS version. Be less expensive, The World Ends With You!

I'm evidently going to have to check out the Ace Attorney games as well; three people have now recommended them in these comments! Thank you very much for your advice.

(And hello to you as well! That is an excellent combination of interests you have. I should probably try to finish Metal Gear Solid at some point; I sort of abandoned it halfway through on account of being so bad at stealth that I was embarrassing myself. It's very nice to meet you!)
