I was the exact same way with those cute little rabbits! Except for me, it was probably more to do with the adorableness of the rabbits.

The adorableness certainly helps. I love the way they run up to investigate you.

I have the same view on Fang and Vanille that you do, Fang is very much her caretaker to me.

Also I ship Fang and Lightning like a house on fire.

I was completely expecting to 'ship them, so I was a little taken aback by my actual interpretation of their relationship. Whoops.

Fang/Lightning? ...I could probably get behind that.

Ditto! Vanille just seems so young, it kind of weirds me out to think of her in a romantic relationship, especially since Fang is so mature.

Fang and Lightning are on a bit more of an even keel. :) They don't get a whole heck of a lot of interaction time, but when they do they feel like equals.

I've got a terrible habit of getting distracted just when I'm approaching the end of something, so I can entirely understand.

I figure in the world of Pokemon, you know you're getting too numb to it all when an Audino healing you DOESN'T make you feel like you should let it go.

Probably true! The idea that some people play Pokémon just to get more powerful and don't form emotional attachments or ponder in-game morality sort of horrifies me. It shouldn't, but still! Pokémon is not just about being the very best, guys; evidently you missed the 'you're my best friend' line of the opening song.

Sometimes I think I'm too soft to play videogames. But how could I attack the Audino when it had just healed my Pokémon? (I can't fight Giza Rabbits in Final Fantasy XII, either. They never attack you! They just cast protective spells on themselves! Sometimes they even heal you!)

You are utterly adorable! And you should probably never play Kingdom of Loathing (the only game I actually play - the starting quest involves going to the Dire Warren and fighting cute little bunnies).

No, it doesn't sound entirely as if Kingdom of Loathing is the game for me.

The in-game bestiary entry for Giza Rabbits opens with 'Being a fiendish creature taking the form of an adorable bunny (for which, indeed, it is all the more fiendish)'. But it's not fiendish! Even if you attack it, it doesn't attack you; it just runs away.

Er, you're not constantly killing cute things. A lot of the time it's battling evil skeletons and demons and...mariachis and nightstands and hippies and other things that are less cute than bunnies. It's not wall-to-wall bunny slaughter.

Still, you may be too sweet-natured for it.

Party characters who have parent-child moments with Hope: All of them. Honestly, I love Hope so much sdgjkdhfgj i want to squish him and protect him forever.

I... am actually pretty sure Jihl is one of the few people that actually dies.

I'm kind of neutral when it comes to Fang/Vanille. If it's well-written, I'm happy to read it romantically or as a parent-child relationship. Also, I ship Older!Hope/Lightning. (And Hope having a crush on Light for basically all of the game.)

I TOO COULD NEVER BRING MYSELF TO KILL GIZA RABBITS.

...that's actually true. Everyone mothers Hope (with the possible exception of Fang, so far). I cannot say that I am complaining. (And he has such a crush on Lightning.)

Well, Fang's kind of busy worrying about Vanille (but in a, you know, disinterested and aloof kind of fashion).
