And Not One Of Them Features Vaginal Doves.

Okay, I officially have far too many half-finished fics lying around. I'm going to go through my 'Unfinished Fanfiction' folder and list what I have in there, so I can see at a glance what's on the to-write pile. If anything catches your fancy, feel free to ask about it or just verbally kick me until it's finished. Listed in descending order of ( Read more... )

Writing Peep Show fanfiction in which the principal characters are eleven really makes no difference to their personalities whatsoever, in the case of one because he was essentially born thirty and in the case of the other because he retains the mentality of an eleven-year-old for the next twenty-five years.

Not to mention, of course, that within the HP universe we are who we will always be at the age of eleven anyway.

Maybe the search to do something no one else has done before is why you write in so many fandoms? What I want to know is, have you written in a fandom and not eventually crossed it with Pokemon?

...goodness me, that's true, isn't it? Considering how much people generally change between the ages of eleven and eighteen, the characters of Harry Potter are remarkably static.

have you written in a fandom and not eventually crossed it with Pokemon?

Ooh, good question.

Fandoms for which I have written full Pokémon crossovers: Top Gear, Merlin, British comedian RPF, Waterloo Road, Glee, Shadow of the Colossus, Derren Brown and Doctor Who (the last two in a single three-way crossover). Top Gear was the first fandom for which I wrote a Pokémon crossover, so the real challenge is finding a fandom from the ones I was involved in after that.

So I haven't crossed it over with Supernatural? Oh, no, wait, I did write a tiny snippet of Bela stealing Pikachu. Erm.

Oh, yes, I haven't written a Peep Show/Pokémon crossover! (I don't think I've even thought about a Peep Show/Pokémon crossover, which is very unusual indeed.)

I have no idea why it ever occurred to me, but I am now rather intrigued by the idea. Add Pokémon, and suddenly there's a whole new world of coincidence-filled scrapes for William Brown to get into!

I am not usually much of an RPFer, but Bradley James in the Merlinverse hits about twenty of my kinks.

Also, I totally share your fic proclivity. I know there's no such thing as originality really, but being able to fool myself I can produce something that pretends to be original is one of my favourite personal traits. There are reasons I find myself writing certain kinds of fics (read: also the reason I don't, actually, read much fic; wilful ignorance.)

Somehow, I'm not surprised that the WHOOPS SUDDENLY FINDING HIMSELF IN THE PAST concept is the one that most appeals to you.

(read: also the reason I don't, actually, read much fic; wilful ignorance.)

...I never realised this before, but I think I might actually do this as well. The more I read, the less I write.

Yeah, you're shocked, aren't you?

Also, the meta. And the intersection of reality and fiction. And Bradley James. :D

The more I read, the less I write.

Same. It sucks.

As not really a Derren Brown fan, I still have to admit to being intrigued by that one. Is there enough posted that I could pop over and get a sense of it without wanting to tear my hair out when I come to the end?

At andtimetravel? It's episodic, so it shouldn't be too frustrating. We did have an overall story arc planned, but the part posted so far doesn't really get into it.

I was marking (university) first year maths exams all week, and the one ray of sunshine was the girl who'd carefully labelled a particular bit on her diagram "this is either a minimum point or a pokeball".

Ahahaha, that's wonderful! (The 'carefully' makes this anecdote.)
