I avoid having to make my bed by piling on so many covers that they're too heavy to shift too horribly, meaning I don't have to chase them down to get them to the right position. All I have to do to "make my bed" is pull them up to the pillow.
...which I don't do. They usually reside in a pile at the foot of my bed until I am ready for them again.
I always feel vaguely guilty about not making my bed, because it's also in my living room and makes the place look untidy. (Not as untidy as all the crap piled on the coffee table, but.) Good to know that actually it's not laziness, it's survival instincts. :D
(I am so, so accident prone. Sometimes I forget it's not normal and mention something like the time I had three concussions in a month, and my friends look at me like I'm mental. Which might soon be the case, with the brain injuries.)
