If We All Ran At Him, He Wouldn't Be Able To Do Anything.

I really shouldn't look at forum comments about You Have Been Watching, because they just end up making me angry.

it could've been improved by ditching that Holly Walsh bint and replacing her with someone who's actually funny and would have contributed to the showNo, Internet. No. Shut up. Holly Walsh contributed, if I recall correctly, more than ( Read more... )

Thank you for commenting! I was a bit worried about posting it, because I don't often have angry outbursts in my journal, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

First of all, you're right & also righteous & I approve.

Also, I defy anyone to find anything funnier in quiz-based-panel shows than the episode of The News Quiz where Sue Perkins, Susan Calman and Sandi Toksvig get drunk on Buck's Fast.

Finally, this made me laugh out loud: (as we all know, if you spend all the points you gain on levelling up on Charisma, you won't have any left to spend on Intelligence, and I see no reason why we shouldn't apply RPG logic to real life).

That episode reduced me to helpless tears. I LOVE that Susan Calman's become a regular since then, she's awesome.

I have mad love for the News Quiz. Not just because it has a shitload of female regulars - Carrie Quinlan ♥ - but it is ALWAYS funny.

Susan Calman is so awesome. I saw her live recently, and she's just wiping-tears-away good.

Also, seconding the News Quiz love. It gets some kick-ass comedians on & they're so smart!

Indeed! (I have had to train myself out of similar thoughts.)

I felt a bit horrible for having to admit that I'd had that mindset, so I find the fact that others have also had to fight it reassuring. Thank you.

But Riona, these women are out of the kitchen. Don't you know what will happen to the world if we allow such behaviour to continue? Don't you know?!

My goodness, I hadn't thought of that! I may have set sandwich-making advancements back years with this entry. I apologise sincerely to all those who have been forced to make their own sandwiches by female involvement in comedy.
