My course is English Language and Literature! So, yes, basically: half of my course is linguistics with a focus on English. I love studying it, but at the moment the workload is a nightmare.
I misread that at first as 'the spirit of Satan'. I suppose my public speaking skills are so poor that I can't really afford to be fussy about the entity that helps me cope, but I am still quite glad that it is not to be Satan.
I actually feel a little better now that I've represented it as a colossus. There must be a logical way to take it down; I just need to work out what it is!
I suppose there's a chance that I'll come to hate House after hours of analysing it, but for now I'm just happy to be able to legitimately call DVD-watching 'research'. Hooray!
