I'm glad you enjoyed them! (I always find myself putting far too much thought into the origin of Derren's abilities when I drop him into other universes. It happened with the Avatarverse as well.)

Seifer and Hayner begrudgingly getting along sounds like fun! (I'm quite fond of Seifer/Zell, and I suspect my interest in Seifer/Hayner comes at least a little from there.)

Sentence ending in an exclamation mark! (Some sort of semi-related comment in brackets.)

Having seen only one episode of Black Books, I am not terribly familiar with Mr Black, but thumbs-up anyway!

I have no idea who Seifer is beyond that he is sometimes mentioned on your journal, but I approve of that story nonetheless, because I am all for anything where England gets to punch someone in the face.

In Kingdom Hearts, Seifer seems to be about fifteen years old. I briefly debated whether England would really punch a fifteen-year-old kid in the face.

The debate was very brief.

Dude, when England was the physical equivalent of fifteen he was beating the crap out of Spain and France on a regular basis. I agree with your assessment.

*nods* re Gwen/House, but then again she did hook up with Owen... I suppose the other common factor between Wilson and Gwen, besides infidelity, is that the audience is supposed to identify with these "everypeople", even when they turn out to be more complicated than they first appear.

(wonders how Owen might've coped as a 'duckling', or the possibilities of Kutner as a Hub staff-member)

Ooh, that's a good point. I'd forgotten she was no stranger to Houseishness.

Also, I sort of love the idea of Kutner as a member of Torchwood, although I have no idea why.

"In any case, Derren (as I interpret him) values intelligence in his friends and partners (although obviously they can't be more intelligent than he is), and Laguna, although he is adorable and wonderful, does not have intelligence in spades, so I doubt that their relationship ever becomes more intimate than that of puppeteer and unwitting puppet."

I have no idea who Laguna is but that paragraph fills me with glee.

Hooray! (I love Laguna. He is ridiculous and scatterbrained and dorky and good-hearted and gets his companions lost and talks too much and dreams of leaving the army to become a journalist and somehow becomes the leader of an enormous city, what on Earth?)
