I know what you are saying about fearing to recommend fandoms given the possibility that other people won't like them and decide you're a horrible person. Nonetheless! I just wanted to point out that my family actually own the boxed set of, I think, both seasons of The Office. Therefore, if when and if I eventually watch it I decide I don't care for it and I despise everyone who does, I would have to despise not only you but also my own parents and a great whack of the United Kingdom, thus meaning that I'd have to tread off alone into the wilderness to seek a new life in Malta.

...so, no worries here.

I am strongly considering watching it, if for no other reason than because I can.

(I would ask you to summarise Of Towns And Toasters, but it's difficult to bring the funny out of anything involving Silent Hill, whether or not the Ninth Doctor is being awesome in it.)

I have actually seen five minutes of The Office! I am presuming here that it is The Office because it was shot poorly (on purpose!), acted poorly (on purpose!), and was set in a office. Also there were some bad jokes; and british accents.

...I just wanted to tell someone that.

Man, this show sounds so intriguing but I totally cannot watch it because I am stuck in the Land of Freedom Fries and also I am too afraid to go find a link to it online or something. I mean, what if it gives me something horrible? Something horrible like the American version??

Anyway, The Office sounds at least like it's cool for having a show completely based on the characters. And that it's willing to have episodes about nothing, because real life is totally like that and it's something that drives me nuts about a lot of prime time TV; there are all these shows based on, like, doctors and lawyers and whatnot and they're all the same but they pretend every episode is new and exciting. Of course, I don't actually watch much prime time TV, but that's the sense I've gotten. I could be way off.

I totally, totally want to see this, and will never doubt your taste again now that I've seen Doctor Who. For the longest time there was a PAL DVD of it floating around my house, but I couldn't watch it because it was PAL, and, um, I think my sister took it away to another country with her, so, yeah, I'll just end this sentence by trailing off. I fail at using carpet lint and paper clips to force my DVD player to let me watch things, is what I'm saying. I guess.

On the other hand, though, awkward cringe-y humour usually upsets me because I overidentify way too much. I end up going "THAT'S TOTALLY A JOKE I WOULD MAKE NO WAIT I DID MAKE THAT JOKE ONCE IN GRADE SCHOOL AND I'VE ONLY BEEN REPRESSING IT 'TIL JUST NOW AUUGGGHHH." Then, of course: seppuku.

On the other other hand, though:

This is how I feel about many things. Don't worry. We love you anyway. XD AT LEAST RIONA HAS THE GUTS TO RANT ABOUT STUFF JUST TO SAY SHE'S AFRAID PEOPLE WILL THINK POORLY OF HER AND THEN POST IT. EVA IS AFRAID TO POST STUFF TRYING TO JUSTIFY WHY SHE POSTS OTHER STUFF BECAUSE SHE'S AFRAID THAT IF SHE TELLS PEOPLE NOT TO THINK POORLY OF HER FOR X REASON THEY'LL THINK POORLY OF HER.
