Oh, and despite not being in the fandom at all, I'm apparently indirectly responsible for people going to conventions and asking each other what fuckersnaps are. (The answer? Fuckersnaps are delicious!) Granted, johnnypurple is more responsible, but I'm still proud of myself.

I'm working on the amnesia fic I've already told you about. And a bit on the Life on Mars thing. I haven't had any other scary Derren Brown ideas yet, except for the one which I'm prodding Cenea with, where vampire!Derren turned Robbie Williams into a vampire, and Robbie's all conflicted about Mark from Take That. Also, Derren's sexual identity crisis involving Darren of the suspiciously-similar name. Nothing beyond that yet.

Clearly, because after years of grappling with his sexuality, and months of struggling to summon the courage, he was rejected by the object of his affections - something that didn't even occur to him as a possibility. Clearly.

But wouldn't he just mind-control them into wanting him? You know, like he mind-controlled Simon Pegg into wanting stuff that time?

...yes, I'm aware that Derren Brown almost certainly has ethical standards. Of some sort. But, as he kidnaps people and drops them in lakes, or makes them think they're in zombie invasions, or leaves them in strange countries, and he also does suspicious things with turning them into bank robbers or sticking needles in them, I'm not entirely sure what his ethical standards are.
