But It Does Mean That We Don't Have To Talk Like Him.

Being slightly behind, I've just watched the first episode of the fifth season of House (I keep thinking it's the fourth season, possibly because I have erased Season Three from my mental continuity), and House is amazing! How could I have forgotten?

My Probably Not Technically One True Pairing for House continues to be everyone/everyone else. I ( Read more... )

Will it help to know that they don't stay like that forever? That there is, in fact, a pretty danged glorious episode that is almost entirely about them (screw the patient, man, nobody cares about them)? Because it totally makes all the pain worth it. And they don't even try to deny how messed-up it is. Oh, boys.

I'd say 'wtf spoilers', but, er, of course I'd guessed there was no way Wilson walked out of the door and then we NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN, so you get away without a guilt-tripping. THIS TIME. I am looking forward to this episode!

I didn't say exactly how it happened! For all you know, they made up because Wilson's leg was crushed by a rampaging dinosaur and House suggested they could be grouchy cripples together forever.

I'm going to be kind of disappointed if it isn't that, now.

When I say something like 'I could say "wtf spoilers", but I won't because you haven't really spoiled me', what I mean is 'you're talking about future episodes and the possibility that you might spoil me is making me uncomfortable'. Which I should probably outright say instead, because saying 'please don't spoil me' in code is not a good way to avoid spoilers. As I said, you haven't actually spoiled me yet.

Unless Wilson's leg was crushed by a rampaging dinosaur, because I can honestly say I'd never have seen that coming otherwise.

WILSON :( AND THIRTEEN WITH HER 'I WILL NEVER FLY' THING :(

I was, however, very happy that the actress who had played Penny on Dr. Horrible got to survive the episode she was in!

That's quite ironic; I just finished watching Dr. Horrible. THE ENDING MADE ME SAD. :( BUT Dr. Horrible was the among the most adorkable characters ever and I wish to squish him.

Um, yes. *scuttles back to corner*

That's Doctor Horrible. Hilarity and heartbreak.

And you watched it! Yay!

Was that the only one, or did they ever make more?

And if the ending hadn't broken my heart so much, I probably wouldn't point out all the moral questions it asks, like the way the villain was actually very rightminded, in wanting to fix humanity in his own special way, the hero was a jerk who was doing good things but for the wrong reasons, and badly, and the girl was trying to be good, but she was so misled and blinded by the black-and-white that she didn't realize how horribly mixed up everything was. But it broke my heart, so I do mention it.

What if Sam had said, 'No, Dean, you're obsessed with your family to the point of excluding anyone else and I think you need a psychiatrist more than you need a roadtrip'?

Okay, this may be the most upsetting AU in the history of Supernatural fandom. Although trying to picture Dean Winchester in therapy is hilarious.

"How does that make you feel?"
"Seriously, if you don't stop talking like a chick flick, I am going to have to exorcise you just in case."
"Exorcise? Do you think I'm possessed by demons?"
"...no. I said exercise! I figure a few dozen laps around the track and you'll stop talking like a freaking Lifetime movie!"
"Do you often use physical activity as a distraction from emotions?"
"Shut up!"

The thought of Sam refusing to go with Dean and indulge his crazy family obsession does make me sad, but your hypothetical Dean-in-therapy scenario makes it quite a bit better. Heeee!

The sad thing is he'd keep going if he thought it would get Sam to come along with him, and eventually it would be "Look, I know I punched out the last two therapist, but they pissed me off! Just don't ask weird questions, and we're cool."

He'd end up with some doormat therapist who'd only ask "What do you want to talk about?", and he'd spend the entire session going off about how awesome the Impala is. Then call Sam and go "Hey, I got therapy! Can we go on a roadtrip now?"

OH, DEAN. I love him so much!

Oh, man, Wilson is such a dick. But, to be honest, when you compare him to House...

(The biggest problem with Wilson is that he's not self-aware. When House is a dick (i.e. all the time), he knows what a dick he is. Wilson always believes himself to be a good person.)

MAN, ME TOO. HOW DARE YOU DO WHAT'S BEST FOR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH AND, IN SAM'S CASE, WHAT COULD QUITE POSSIBLY BE A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOR THE MENTAL HEALTH OF YOUR BROTHER AS WELL? GITS.
