It turns out that I have, in fact, been able to watch the new episode (fifth episode, fourth season) of Supernatural! Thank you, YouTube; I am in your debt.

I actually really want to read it. I just went through the whole of the spn_castiel community, and I managed to find exactly one tiny fic. WHERE IS ALL THE CASTIEL/RUBY? IT COULD BE SO GREAT.

It is the best plan ever. Sometimes I am tempted to make fake reaction posts just so the people who read them will go 'OH, MAN, I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO WATCH A SHOW IN WHICH THE MAIN CHARACTER TURNS INTO A BAGUETTE', and then they will buy it on my false information and I shall cackle with unethical show-disseminating glee.

I bet that Kripke would do exactly that if he could work out a plausible way of carrying it off, just to mess with the fans' heads. Oh, Kripke.

EDIT: Hang on, Sam saw Dean in the nude in 'The Magnificent Seven', didn't he? Perhaps the resultant trauma wasn't 'aaaah I saw your penis'; perhaps it was 'aaaah I have a sister?'

I'm sort of tempted to give a quick rundown of the version of the episode in the Delaware Singer universe every week from now on. (By the way, I have some snippets of a potential fic about the time between 'No Rest for the Wicked' and 'Lazarus Rising' in my Supernatural notebook, and I have no idea whether I'm ever going to finish it or not but I thought you might like to know that Delaware is in it. He gets possessed by Ruby.)
