I'm going to start an Etsy shop too, heaven help me.

Do any of you guys have experience with promoting a craft blog? Like, is it kosher to rec your own site to Craftzine? I kind of started such a blog and I'd like people to see it, but I'm really averse to pimping out my own work, so I'm trying to figure out how to flog this baby without feeling like a pest. Suggestions?

I love Etsy so I think starting a shop is super cool!

And I say pimp it like you mean it. Really. If you want people to buy your stuff, you have to know it is worth spreading the word about it.

So don't feel bad about it, know that promoting your wares is a key component to a successful venture.

Thanks! I love Etsy too, though I will admit to enjoying Regretsy now and again.

That's some seriously good advice - I like that way of looking at things. Alright. Once I have the Etsy shop up and running, I'll cry high and low about both it and the blog.
