It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.mp3

When I came home for the holidays and found a Russian Pigeon package waiting for me, I already knew I was in for a treat, considering I was the lucky one this year to receive a gift by alenky_cveto4ek. And true enough, the package was filled with many a lovely thing!

YAY :D

I'm glad the pigeons were on time and didn't ruin anything in the process. Seeing how you mentioned you started drinking coffee, I simply had to send some, and the chocolate is a bit random, but I hope it'll at least be interesting.

The stickers were so :') I simply had to buy them. I can just imagine the look on the face of the person who gets the "Merry" sticker on their present pff.

I got very lucky with the Mucha decorative set, in that it more or less applied itself, but I was only half-joking about it being a fire hazard - I don't have a clear idea of how this kind of decorative paper will behave once the candle is lit, but I'm sure if you sit there and stare longingly at the Mucha art crumple and give in to the heat you won't need a fire extinguisher. Probably.

I liked the ribbons a lot, so I hope they and the paper come in handy! :)

Thank you for a lovely post, and Merry Christmas! ❄❄❄

Pigeons did a great job this time and I congratulate their efforts! The chocoloate looks really nice, and I doubt it'll surivive the holidays :'D

"so :')" sounds about right xD I kind of want Merry/Christmas Merry to become accepted holiday greetings now...

I did candles with napkin decor before, and it never was an issue! So I'm sure it'll be fine. And if anything starts burning I'll handle it. I mean, I was on fire once with burning liquor, can't be worse than that!

Thank you, great santa!

Hah, wouldn't it be grand to just go, "Merry!" - "Merry to you, too!" :DD

Definitely shouldn't be worse than burning liquor :') Do you have any pictures of the candles you decorated? I'm curious :)

Don't :') me! I was peer pressured into being the designated burning alcohol handler, no matter how ill-suited to the job!!

I definitely have a picture somewhere of one I did for my grandfather, I just couldn't find it ad hoc before Russian invasion took over my Christmas break. I'll look into it when I'm home again :)

The stickers are A+. I think "Merry!" Santa should be turned into a holiday user icon next year /strokes chin

Thank you! Holidays Merry to you also!

Thank you! ^^ Yeah, I decided I can't just give my friends Christmas tree decorations every year, after all XD I started with the basics, and since I don't like stuff that's too sparkly/glittery, it will probably stay very basic lol.

Speaking of, though, the blue-silver ornament I got from you is hanging on my desk lamp in WÜ :) And I think it'll stay there post holiday season, since it's just #aesthetic overall. Fight me, season purists.

Ahhh, it all looks lovely! And how well timed, too. :D

And whoa, I'd assumed the candle had come that way; it looks amazing. :O

Peach apricot tea sounds interesting and delicious. And pffft at your comment that most peach tea tastes of disappointment -- I suspect this means I haven't tried a proper peach tea yet, so my tastes are safe from that particular high horse ... for now. >_>

That St. Petersburg magnet is great (but where are the balalaikas? :DD) as are all of A's notes. :D :D

And, yeah... "yeah idk" indeed seems like an appropriate response to those stickers. :'D

Which, on that note -- CHRISTMAS MERRY to you! :D

Yeah, without the note I also would probably have assumed it was store-bought! A is just that skilled!

I had lovely peach tea in Italy once, and then at home went out to buy one with the same flavour. It smelled amazing but just tasted like wet gras. The betrayal, you can't imagine...

Merry! :D :D

Oh noooo that sounds like the worst ;___;

I think what I've had is things like Starbucks' peach + idk chamomile?? tea. Which I suspect is not Amazing Quality Tea, but at least doesn't taste like wet grass. :'D

To be fair, in retrospect it's also possible I handled the tea wrong, considering it was flavoured green tea. Back then I didn't know any tea needed a treatment differing from "pour with boiling water and leave to steep for 3 minutes", so maybe this one is on me xD
