Thanks! I was happy with the end result. It was actually the first square I pulled off my HC Bingo card, in a moment of desparation as I scrapped the first story I did.

I think it works for 10 in a way it would never work for 11.

Did I have you thinking at all, ever, that it was the Master? I was trying.

Yea, I agree it works really well for 10. He's so good for angsting(9 too).

Well, when I read what square it was for your HC I thought maybe, and there were a few paragraphs in the beginning there, but when you wrote that he'd gone to someone he'd really trusted I knew it couldn't have been him because even though they've known each other for a very long time, the Master's more likely to use it all against the Doctor than help him through it.

Yeah, I was afraid I was losing it at the trust bit, but it seemed to need to be there in order for the whole thing to keep going.
