I like the premise but I think the Captain's Log really threw me and kept me from enjoying it.

Many of our instruments were fried during the crossing. Scotty and his team are frantically trying to bring all of our vital systems back online as we hunt for somewhere to either attempt repairs or possibly maroon ourselves and try to survive as best we can.
It just doesn't sound like Kirk to me. I don't think he'd ever say fried or frantically in a log.

I did love the Sheppard/McKay dialog. I also loved Spock's comment about statement of seriousness.

I was trying for Reboot Kirk voice, I had a feeling you'd pick up on that, my Classic Trek love. *smooshies*

I changed it, since I didn't clearly state if this was reboot or classic Trek, it might throw others out too. I'll leave it to the reader to decide if it's William Shatner or Chris Pine.

And the critiques are always welcome, you know that.

Hmmn, I didn't even think of Chris Pine. I just don't know his Kirk well enough yet (or his writers). We don't have plans this weekend maybe I can convince J to watch the reboot again;)
