I kinda like a few of Paris Hilton's pop songs, and she was great in Repo!.... Also, I love Lady Gaga.

For me personally, I think I'll have to go with Katy Perry on this one, or Ke$ha. I love pop music, but yeah. Don't like. Oh, and Alexander Rybak (He won Eurovision last year, for Norway. XD)

Yeah, Paris Hilton was really good in Repo, but I'm not sure that she's as much a musician as she is a general celebrity. I honestly don't agree that Lady Gaga is overrated -- I think she's done a lot to get to where she is now. I did expect her to be one of the more popular choices, though.

And yeah, Katy Perry IS really overrated. O.O

COMPLETELY agreed on Radiohead!

Bob Dylan and Cash both have to be, in my mind, considered songwriters LONG before they should be critiqued as performers. A prof. who introduced me to this idea may be a bit of a bias here (he was hot). Buuuut I think it's valid.

I would also put in a big vote for Lang-Lang.

Oh, Bob Dylan is certainly a great songwriter -- no doubt about that -- but as a singer? No. His voice is grating. He can write, but he can't sing.

Ah, yeah, that's what I meant. That his merits have to be judged by X metric to explain his appeal, etc etc. ^^ I agree!!
