Well, I hiked 400 miles of the Appalachian Trail and I liked Wild. What TV show was it where the female protagonist said, "I'm going to do Wild," meaning that she was going to hike the whole PCT. Surprise: she doesn't do it.

A friend's brother and SIL blogged their hike on the PCT back in 2017. It was fascinating to follow their progress. Made me want to be a trail angel.
