Reading fiction isn't a problem. Fiction can give you a glimpse into the minds of characters, their thoughts and actions, that are completely different from your own. Is there trashy fiction? Yes, just like there are trashy movies. I feel like no matter what you read, you can learn something from it.

That's so true!

I love to read. I don't seem to do enough of it lately but I enjoy it. I like paper books and my Kindle. I love my Kindle when I'm traveling, it's so nice to have a bunch of books on one light little device rather than pack around paper books, but I do love the feeling of having a book in my hand.

I love your answer to the last one.

I feel like no matter what you read, you can learn something from it. I like that sentiment.

If reading fiction is a waste of my time, I want off this world! You're absolutely right about how fiction lets you into the minds of others.

It feels weird to me that anyone would ever think reading fiction is a waste of time. I don't like shaming people for how they spend their time anyway, but this question just feels too much to me.
