God, Rinny, this is just excellent. Beyond excellent. It's amazing, and sparse and says so very very much! I loved every exquisite word of it. I think it's instantly become one of my favorite Jaylee and Firefly pieces ever! And it's a wonderful extension of End of All Things.

There was this tension throughout the whole thing where I kept thinking something was going to go wrong, but then the surprise was that it went okay. They'll be okay, even Mal. *hugs you*

I loved the Jayne, Inara interaction and the descriptions of everyone. *sigh*

I'm going to list just a few of my favorite lines:
Always knew you had a right twisted sense of humor, Shepherd.
...guns drawn and four days growth of beard GUH *drools*
Even when River stole his favorite shirt with the nekkid ladies on it, he couldn’t really get mad.
But he tried.

Yay! I remember you mentioning an idea to this affect some time ago. I'm so glad you wrote it, I really enjoyed reading it. Jayne getting them all back together... it's made of *awesome.

*awesome as anything firefly can be with out Wash. :p
