Part a: Sadly, me too!

Part b: I wish I knew, I really wish I knew. But I think maybe it starts with writing it, lol, and that's generally where I fail. :-P

Part b: I asked someone at work how to write a novel and her immediate response was "One word a at a time."

...this is both brilliant and depressing advice. But really. My idea is brilliant. Why can't I just sell it to someone and then they write it?

I think it's not just validation but the idea bouncing process that comes with having a beta in a fandom you like. Maybe?

One word at a time... so true, so frustrating. Makes my 63 words yesterday sound better. Too bad they weren't on an original story. I've got a few of those in my head too but I have such a hard time getting them written.

Maybe you could sell your idea, but not for as much as you could make off the book if you wrote it!

Join a writers' forum. The people at AbsoluteWrite range from published several times over, to writing teachers, to absolute n00bs. There is a truckload of info there that can help you along the way, from conceiving your novel, to writing it, to getting an agent, to getting published, to what to do after you get published.

Also, WRITE EET.
