I just peeked at BoxOfficeMojo.com to see what Serenity's final numbers were for theater box office...and found out it's still playing in several countries overseas. ANDAs of December 11, the worldwide box office is $38,325,883. Which is just shy of the listed production cost of $39 million!!!! They could still break even on it!!!! And the DVD

Keep in mind that (gross sales = production cost) = loss of revenue

However, if DVD sales are anything aproching that of the original series... they are golden.
