I'm insane so I had to get quite a few in under the wire to beat last year's total of 73 books. I know it shouldn't matter because I do read heavy stuff in addition to (relative) fluff (I loved those Harlan Coben books, though!), but I have this competitive streak and a penchant for lists. This is just going to get harder every year... (heh)
I love the way you've kept track of the books you've read the last three years. I wish I had done that! I especially like that you have a lot of classics mixed in as well.
I don't read a lot of poetry, but I like your poem of the day idea. Do you mind if I add you to my friends list? Feel free to do the same if you'd like.
Well, you could start! My entire reading list is here. I started it in the summer of 2004, but I did add a few retroactive selections. It's categorized, too. A friend of mine created the site, and you're welcome to start your own list if you want. I love it for keeping track of recommendations so I don't forget them (or if I do, I can look them up later).
I certainly don't mind if you add me to your friends list. I love sharing poetry!
I just recently started my journal, so I have begun to keep track of them. I probably should go back and write down the ones I can remember from the last few years even if I miss some, so I may take you up on starting a list on your site if you don't mind.
Thanks too for giving me the okay to add you to my friends list. I'll look forward to reading your posts!
It's my friend's site, not mine, but I know he created it with the intent of it being used by book lovers!
Thank you for asking if you could friend me. I don't mind if people do it with or without asking, but I do appreciate getting a comment so I know why. I friends-lock nearly everything except poems and book recommendations because some people can't seem to behave themselves and I don't need to broadcast my personal life (nor is it all that interesting). I usually add people back after a while if it seems that we have similar interests, which I determine from comments on poems, etc.
P.S. I went and peeked at your info. Congrats on your grandchild-to-be!

When I find something I like, I tend to absorb as much of it as I can. I think the only book of his I haven't read is The Queen of the South. Oh! That reminds me that I need to keep checking the library to see if they've gotten The Sun Over Breda yet. (As of now, they don't have the English translation. If only I could read Spanish...)

I'll have to add The Queen of the South to my reading list. I wasn't sure if I would like a book about drug smuggling (that's what it's about if I recall correctly). I did really like all his other books, though, and they're all so different from each other.
