Sniffle, sneeze and honk

I feel like that's all I can do right now -- sniffle, sneeze and honk my nose. My West Coast cold has morphed nicely into East Coast allergies and I'm kinda like one giant sinus right now. Attractive, eh?

So I've been interviewing candidates for a position I'm hiring at work. And out of the stacks and stacks of resumes I've reviewed one thing keeps ( Read more... )

OMG, my allergies are killing me. Like whoa. I think I'm allergic to everything about DC/Virgina/Maryland.
One day I would like to breathe again. I hate the idea of spending the next 5 months drugged, but sigh...

I'm LOL at your "great attention to detail" suggestion. My editing teacher--I'm a crappy editor btw-I happily admit it, and thus it explains why I never took on Assistant Editorships after college--anyway in J'School they really hit us over the head with the fact that if you are claiming to be a writer/editor and if your cover letter/resume has mispellings, grammatical errors, or other ridiculous mistakes, then you should be shot. Brutal, but it worked. Of course my school also had a policy of giving you an F if you mispelled one word when you turned in copy. :P

I think I may be heading to NYC Thursday evening. If I don't end up leaving til Friday morning, I may be able to come over to your place. I will let you know. I don't want to *squee* alone.

Sorry to hear you're sharing in the allergy two-step. I never had allergies in my life. And then, with every passing year in DC, they've gotten worse and worse. Blech...

As for Thursday...the place is open if you'll be in town without TV access. :) Otherwise, have fun in NYC and good luck not imploding with antica........

Awww!! My allergies haven't been too bad so far. But I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I'm not conscious in the early morning when it's usually in full effect.

And let's not talk about jobs, please.

What is this "real life" you speak of?
