Loved this story! You managed to paint the picture of Changmin's experience of being left unchosen for several years, and the feelings of neglect, desperation and resignation were actually tangible as they passed. I also like that you tried to provide depth to the time prior to meeting Yunho (which of course we were all looking forward to) instead of just glossing over it; it made their meeting later on much much sweeter, meaningful and complete. Maybe after all Changmin wasn't really broken, maybe he was just waiting for the perfect owner, maybe he was just made for Yunho. I also adored the part where Yunho cut his strings and gave him freedom in more ways than one, and Changmin choosing to stay with him always. It's just so... otp-like of them. /cries
It's a touching piece I'm glad to have stumbled upon. Thank you for writing this! c:
Thank you for the comment. You got it completely right, Changmin was never a broken toy, he was just unwanted because of his supposedly odd-looking features. He just needed the right person to accept and love him for everything he is and isn't. I'm glad you picked up on the string-cutting bit. In my head, it was symbolic of his new freedom as a loved toy and then human. And the fact that despite his freedom, he chose to stay beside Yunho forever. Sorry for the rambling comment, but I'm just happy someone got that! Thanks for reading! ^^
