So what do I need to do to convince you to finish this story before 2015? Let me remind you that I know where you live. Should I send more tea? Show up on the doorstep and offer to babysit (you don't want to entrust me with children)? Cook you beets, which for the record I think are delicious?

Hey, we can't all be fic-writing machines! I write as fast as I write ... and sometimes that's really ridiculously slow. But, there were certain things that made this chapter really difficult that don't necessarily apply to the next chapter. And I have a vague idea of what's going to happen next, which I didn't have after Chapter 4. So, I can't make any promises, but I want to finish it this summer.

Yeah, beets really took a beating this chapter, but I think they'll get their fair shake soon.

Stay away from my children!

i would like to note that you wrote this over a year ago, and now we're less than 6 months from 2015. so sad in my heart.

This feels like official nagging! Which is fine, and probably needed.

Oh my God, this is glorious. I hadn't read the other parts, but I've just spent the better part of two hours reading through it, and I can't even tell you how much I love this. Although the slow reveal is driving me crazy, it's doing so in the best way possible. I squeaked so hard when I realized Ann knew, that sneaky beautiful unicorn. Really, though, I love how you've kept the tone and characters so true to the show while also making this completely AU. It's the truly difficult task of a well-done AU, and you've navigated it beautifully. I hope you find or have found more inspiration to work on this, as it's so fantastic that I'd hate to see it die as a work forever in progress. I'll be over here crossing my fingers for more!

Again I say: YESSSSSSSSS

Also, beets are indeed delicious, so there is SO MUCH POTENTIAL. Their love is like the beets - maybe right not it doesn't look so attractive, but get past the first layer, and treat it right, and be patient, and don't eat the nasty greens no matter what the nutritionist says because ew, and add some goat cheese and it's ALL GOOD STUFF. Plus, they're/it's grounded.

In summary, I'm so very pleased you got this done and really looking forward to the next one, and can we please have more incidental touching of arms and stuff? Because now that will drive them both a bit nuts and that's always fun.

Thanks to this story, I think I'm going to buy beets tomorrow. The kind that are already peeled and cooked, like at TJ's. So thank you Rikyl for helping inspire dinner.

CROSSOVER TIME: Pawnee Lover and Nerd Boy go to Schrute Farms for their honeymoon in remembrance of the first time they got along as themselves, and also as a testament to their stubbornness.

A nice man named Mose teaches them how to make beet wine, and they FINALLY know what to do with the beets that they've kept in their house since that day in Ben's office.

But seriously. Super excited to see this updated. You're great and it's great, so it doesn't matter that it's taken forever for an update. It doesn't matter that the last update was posted when I was STILL IN COLLEGE. I will forever come back to this thing. And I will also come babysit your children and teach them how to make hats if it makes you have time to write.

I LOVE THIS! I saved it as a treat to myself for whe I finished posting the last chapter of my WIP and that's exactly what it was - such a treat! The set-up is just golden for so much tomfoolery and misdirection that its impossible for this not to be fun. But also - I thought you did some really nice, subtle and natural character movement here. It didn't feel overly dramatic. There was lots of levity (BEETS!) and still lots emotions watching these two come around to each other.

Whenever you get the next chapter done I will be thrilled to read it!

Also, we should grab coffee sometime since we're in the same town and all.
