One more week and your fic is making it a bit more bearable. Your prose is amazing and I love how you point out that Leslie would want to enjoy the campaign just as much as winning.

I know Leslie really wants to win, but she seems to be having a ton of fun with it regardless of how they're doing, and I like that. Thanks for reading. Four more days now!

Me too, and I felt so bad for him after that episode. But I know Leslie would be looking out for him, even if there was too much going on to really see that on screen.

Awww, I LOVE this! It feels so in-character for both of them; I really love your insights about Ben's political history and how that plays into what's happening now, and the way his world revolves around the hope that someone like Leslie can and should win ALL THE THINGS, despite all the bullshit he knows is a part of government. And I LOVE Leslie's determination to just ENJOY and appreciate this process, win or lose--it's an awesome way of taking a step back, and one that I can definitely see her taking, with the aid of a little sleep deprivation and champagne. Awwww. I honestly don't know which direction they're going on the show, but this will make me feel better if Leslie loses. :) Thank you!

Thank you for the lovely review! I got to thinking after the episode about how much they both wanted this, yet how as we saw some of it was way out of their control, and wondering how they would each react when thinking about that. I'm really glad it rang true to you!

I think this is the sweetest thing! I love the honesty in this. So frequently they are goofy with each other. I crave seeing them be real. Thanks!

That's what I was craving too after Lucky. It's a sitcom so they're going to focus on the goofy stuff, and it was a really fun episode, but I really wanted them to have a conversation. And I felt like they probably did talk at some point to get that point we saw where they were holding hands and making love eyes at each other again. So I had to write something. I'm glad you liked it!
