So, while we were in Boston a couple weeks ago, having some celebratory drinks on the eve of malinandrolo's wedding, toob and I had a conversation wherein (and I forgot how we arrived here) it was decided and agreed that I would make a good skunk

I think you look quite good as a skunk :)
and there is nothing wrong with having different species representing different aspects of one's personality/person.
I have a deer fursona that I play sometimes because I find I have several "deerish" qualities, namely I can be skiddish and spook easy ^^
I'm not interested in changing my fursona of a fox. but it is fun to play as a deer sometimes ^^

Huh. Always the white front. Sort of like how arctic foxes almost always get drawn with dark points.

What's wrong with the good old natural dark underbelly that striped skunks in the wild have? It offers some significant avenues of contrast! ;)
