Sorry you are out of a job but at least you are keeping a good attitude about things. Who knows, this may open up a possibility that wouldn't have existed if things didn't go as they did. Try and stay upbeat and good luck with the job hunt!

Glad to hear you're covered for the time being, and I'm living proof that there are ways to swing not having a real job <3

Hopefully you'll find something new and awesome soon, and like you say, you've got great experience, solid skills, and eleventeen hundred titles under your belt now, so you're in a great position, résumé-wise.

In the meantime, 長い間、お疲れ様です。

And just so you know, this totally doesn't excuse you from getting lunch with me in the city from time to time. Or dinner, now that you're among the ranks of the Sleepers-In <3

The other upshot is that, if I'm gonna drag my unemployed ass all the way up to San Francisco, I sure the hell ain't gonna just hang around for a quick lunch and then leave.
