Last time, Vár moved back home, and we saw that Rocko had become permaplat, beginning the (wonderful forever) rest of his life. Vár was torn between three men:
sixamsims's Sherlock Hexx,
kingmike1224's Marlon Simpson, and the object of her obsession (whom she refused to actually fall in love with): Lincoln Darwin. After a series of dates, she convinced Lincoln to move in. And THEN she learned she was pregnant.
After purchasing drugs "incentive" from a local travelling saleswoman, Vár fell in love with Lincoln. Our weekly challenge was rolled as Bruce, Bruce, Bruce, just in time for Vár's firstborn son to come out and be christened Bruce-Bragi. Vár became a stay-at-home mom with all the success in Lincoln's career. Then they got married! In between bouts of morning sickness, she was afraid of being caught cheating. Bruce-Bragi became a toddler strongly resembling his father, who was actually Sherlock.
So, the household is rather peaceful. Vár has plenty of free time to rest up, and teach Bruce-Bragi the important things, like how high chairs are the devil.
I don't know why Valhalla seems down on her son-in-law.
Sure, he's officially a "slacker," but so's her own husband!
Holy crap, did a toddler just learn a skill in an ISBI?!
Rocko wants Lincoln to know that he's his favorite son-in-law. Pointing out that Lincoln is his only son-in-law would get in the way of his life being wonderful forever, so we won't.
Lincoln's trying to get in Val's good graces. However...
...I sense a bonding moment imminent.
Why does it feel like all the evil in the world has rolled into a ball behind me?
Maybe you don't want to turn around.
Coming together over Scarlett Laroux's evil newspaper theft! Family! Togetherness!
That bitch!
That, too.
Bruce-Bragi may be a bit of a mama's boy. Granted, his father isn't actually here...
I love these two together! :3
When he makes that face, I don't know whether to be happy or frightened!
In case you forget, Vár is still pregnant.
This is like the best thing ever for two family sims. Sitting around, talking about how awesome Vár's wedding was. Except for the whole puking everywhere thing.
Walking! That's two toddler skills! Bruce-Bragi's got an awesome head start, doesn't he?
Sorry, Jaime (
alfredaskew), but Vár's too busy to invite you in, so...
Hey, who the hell said Vé could come over and play on our swingset? >:|
Why do I get the feeling that I'll never learn to like some of my in-laws?
Perhaps it's the thick hatred that still exists between your wife and this particular brother.
WHOA WHOA WHOA
You so cannot sell your nephew for money. I don't care how much you hate Vár, you can't do that shit to Rocko!
Sure, it looks like innocent playtime until you notice that he's trying to give Bruce-Bragi brain damage.
MOMENTOUS OCCASION OCCURRING
As we walk on the wild side (as always)...
That's a bit premature of a hope, isn't it?
We've got a boy, with Grandpa Rocko's eyes, light skin, and black hair. We're still on "Bruce, Bruce, Bruce" week, so...
Meet Bruce-Baldr.
My son!
Your *cough*first*cough* son, Lincoln!
Another boy, with the same coloring (but slightly different skin even though no one probably cares about that but me), named Bruce-Brono. I'll be so glad once it's Tuesday again.
...at least it'll be born after Bruce, Bruce, Bruce week is over.
Wow, I doubt Rocko is wrong at his grandfathering, so I'll go out on a limb here and say that Bruce-Bragi probably just doesn't know what he really wants.
Why, yes, that would be ~afterglow~ keeping Lincoln in bed, missing his carpool.
I can't imagine how that might be a problem.
I don't care that she's just a spouse, Emily Creelman (
steezie_k) is one of the most adorable sims ever and I want her in one of my ISBIs. NOW.
Bruce-Bragi's about to have an awesome birthday. I didn't bother to capture it, but he also is POTTY TRAINED!
I don't know what I was attempting to capture more with this shot,
prettypalisades's Magdence walking past, or the awesome outfit I made her wear!
(ARMWARMERS FOREVER)
Tell me the truth, Mommy. Am I part alien?
What would ever give you that idea, Bruce-Bragi? The unearthly eye color? The fact that the man you live with who may or may not be but definitely isn't your father is also part alien?
They sure do grow up fast, don't they, Lincoln?
Oh, Bruce-Bragi needs his gen-yellow makeover, doesn't he?
Much better.
Vár, walking contradiction. Wants ten children, but wants to successfully cheat on her husband. Wants a baby, doesn't want a baby.
I can't believe my game has given us all such a shining paragon of family values.
Bruce-Bragi has found the toybox, which reminds me that it's time to start makeovering bedrooms...
...I think I need to get some spectrum outside of bright brights at some point.
I don't know if watching their grandson grow up has made Rocko feel old or young. Just horny.
Val is almost competent here. If only she took the poopy diaper off random Bruce-Infant before bathing him...
I'm hoping I'm not making things too easy on myself by allowing Vár to remain a stay-at-home mom. But it just seems fitting...
You know...
Don't say it.
But I'm sick of--
At least wait until Mom's left for work!
You know, it's almost thoughtful that she contains the mess to this one toilet. She could be willy-nilly clogging the others.
After...well, mostly after Gigi's stint with pregnancy at the Randolphs, I always breathe a sigh of relief once trimester one is over.
Aw, looks like Lincoln won't be going crazy just quite yet.
Barging in uninvited isn't merely left to unwanted family members anymore!
katu_sims's Einstein Dork feels right at home!
So I hear you fertilized your wife again.
NEVER REFER TO IT LIKE THAT AGAIN.
Yay, it's a first birthday for the twins, although Bronwyn Darwin doesn't seem to be fond of the idea of birthdays. Or cake. (Which begs the question of why she'd ever come home with Rocko in the first place, then.)
Now that they have faces, I can confidently state that this is Bruce-Baldr!
With his yellow clothes! (And I've devised a method for assigning hair texture, so Bruce-Baldr's got his mom's textured hair~)
Bruce-Brono!
Who's got his own yellow clothes, and hair closer to Lincoln's.
And who is apparently thrilled that he managed to drink a spoiled bottle less than an hour after he became autonomously mobile.
Vár is not too busy training toddlers to not appreciate the baby-to-be!
Sorry,
simsforaranya. I don't think Leia Knight is ever going to do anything in my neighborhood besides steal people's newspapers.
I curse you, vile women, to the seventh generation times seven!
Come away from the door, honey. It's not good to interrupt grandpa when he's in a "mood."
Rocko thoughtfully serves something besides Grilled Cheese to his pregnant daughter. Albeit in Valhalla's absence. ;)
Don't worry about being overwhelmed just because the twins are still in diapers. They'll be in school with Bruce-Bragi before you know it!
I don't know if that's necessarily going to make Vár's life any easier.
I'll go on record and say that it's harder to keep track of kids' homework than it is to keep track of toddlers' anything.
You know...it's amazing how successful this family can be sometimes, you know?
No, I don't know.
Thanks, Moonstone Crayola. (
leenyland)
How about a nice, rousing game of Rock, Paper, Scissors?
...no.
You want me to WHAT?!
Oh, if you don't understand how to diaper, ask your father-in-law.
He also took too long in feeding Bruce-Baldr. I get it. Rock, Paper, Scissors is too hard.
While Bruce-Baldr gets snuggles from Grandpa...
...Bruce-Brono is proving that one twin always gets autonomously neglected.
Speaking of neglect, Vár's about ready to have another kid!
Your call is important to us, please stay on the line and an associate will...
:D
And we have a girl, with Rocko's eyes, light skin, and black hair. Hariasa.
Oh dear, it looks like we may have had another multiple birth of some sort. Guess what it was this--
Oh.
Another girl, slightly darker than S1 skin, black hair, Rocko's eyes. Hlín.
A boy, freckled skin, Vár's eyes, black hair. Heimdallr.
HO SHIT.
Rocko is so freaking awesome, his life is so wonderful forever he went perma-plat again. I don't give a fuck, he's getting another tally mark in my stats. Because seriously, how many ISBI sims out there go perma-plat twice? Especially spouses?
Final quad is a girl. Slightly darker than S1, Rocko's eyes, black hair. Hel.
Cheat sheet for my and your perusal.
Oh yeah. Under any other circumstances, rolling windfall as my weekly challenge may have resulted in a reroll, since I already had it once, but come on.
I HAVE QUADS IN AN ISBI. I HAVE SEVEN CHILDREN, AND SIX OF THEM ARE IN DIAPERS.
IN AN ISBI
I had to add another room to their house, because they needed a second nursery. Because there are quads.
I broke down and put a formula fridge and a trashcan in the second nursery. Because there are quads.
Hmm...
Yes, Rocko?
It sucks.
Everybody's a critic.
This is so happy and ideal. Let's think of it as the calm before the storm. I know I did when I snapped it.
I think we can seriously, sincerely say that we're done having kids now, don't you think, Vár?
You don't know family sims, do you, Lincoln?
I don't know what's more sad. When toddlers pass out next to a bed-blanket, or when toddlers pass out while waiting to be fed.
You have a problem with the mess, Valhalla? STFU and pick it up.
ISBI families get two service NPCs: nannys and repairmen. Deal with it.
I think Val may have taken her favored twin and ran to a more peaceful area of the house.
Ah, it looks like Bruce-Baldr has finally woken up and found the bottle that was being retrieved for him back when he passed out.
He's happy because it's probably the freshest thing he's been fed since THE QUADS were born.
Rocko has finally removed the diaper Bruce-Baldr has been wearing since THE QUADS were born. Pure ecstasy.
The fact that Rocko is going to die before he hits seventy and THE QUADS are out of diapers, however, is the exact. fucking. opposite. of ecstasy.
I think without Rocko? We're all gonna die. D:
Or Bruce-Baldr, at least.
The only way you'd ever fit an eleven-member family into a portrait perfectly in this game.
I'm not going to lie, I completely forgot that the only way Bruce-Bragi would ever get real food would be if an adult prepared it for him. On the plus side, I bet he'll end up with some cooking points.
So close, yet so far...the Bruce-Baldr Bork story.
I don't care what your father says, the day all these kids are finally old enough to go to school, I'm going to dance the dance of joy.
They are all conveniently ignoring the fact that Bruce-Brono has probably filled his diaper for the third time right here.
Thank god for Rocko.
So close, yet so far part II: electric boogaloo.
(Seriously, though, you have to feel for the poor kid who wakes up long enough to crawl almost into bed...but is too tired to actually make it in there.)
Welp, Vár's come to a decision. She can't do it on her own.
I don't know what's the best part of this picture. How miserable THE QUADS are, or how perfectly happy Bruce-Bragi is.
Oh for god's sake, put that down, you have no idea what to do with it.
Don't worry, Random QUAD, the nanny will take the poo-sack off of you now!
On the bright side, Bruce-Baldr might finally get to sleep in a bed. On the minus side, Bruce-Brono can't because Lincoln took two of THE QUADS out of their cribs and stuck them on the toddler blankets.
I don't know if I'm disturbed or impressed that
sukkamielli's Monique Spicoli managed to find a way to worm her way into this update.
This has to help things. It has to.
First, the twins. Because they don't require assistance to grow up.
Like you'd grow up well if you never got a bed and never got fed and grew up in the red.
I do feel badly that Vár's going to suffer because of it. See that coffee? Woman has literally not slept since THE QUADS were born.
Oh.
...oh shit. This is unexpected.
Bruce-Baldr. Even grew up looking all sad-sack.
Bruce-Brono is a much happier looking child.
I suppose I was bemoaning Lincoln's general level of sanity earlier this update, wasn't I?
Ladies and Gentlemen, the very first shrink visit of the legacy!
We gather around to age up the first of THE QUADS, and it's like Bruce-Brono suddenly realized something in the room was...off.
But Rocko looks...happy, he can't...
THAT IS JUST LOW AND SICK AND WRONG, GRIM
(Grim regretfully sends his regards for not appearing in the update, as he was affected by the accidentally-nude-headless reaper default issue.)
As long as you liked Vár better than Vé...
Poor Valhalla. Despite not being perma, she's set to outlive him by like ten years or something.
And of course, the children have been put into a delightful demeanor over losing their only most competent caretaker.
Here's Hariasa. So far, her features seem a little unfortunate.
Heimdallr, another one with what I believe are Valhalla's horrible-in-toddler-stage cheekbones.
I think Hel's got her father's eyeshape, which looks quite a bit different with human eyes.
This is Hlín, who's got her mother's hairtexture as well as some of the features I hope THE QUADS will all manage to grow into.
I don't know what Hariasa is so pissed about. I think this is already one more bath than Bruce-Baldr's received in his entire life.
More coffee! Note the lines of stink rising off of our torchholder.
Who, by the way, still wants more children.
I don't care how ~pissy~ you are, Hariasa. You cannot out-fail Bruce-Baldr!
I HATE GRILLED CHEESE.
You know what, Bruce-Brono? In this house, you need to sit the fuck down and eat your goddamn breakfast.
Lincoln's so despondent, he's refusing to change his kids' diapers now. D:
Look, it's Sweet Georgia Brown Behr! (
bondchick_nett) Run, run the other way and never look back!
This is the first time Vár's used her bed since THE QUADS were born, and it's not for sleeping...
(Luckily, no babies were made.)
Guys.
If you don't read my other P_T legacy in this hood, you are in for a treat.
Even while I was leery of having 3x the amount of homework to have Vár help with...
...let us all feast on the adorable!
Aw, Zeus, I guess you're still adorable. A little.
You need to do your homework, so you can go to college and get into a career track.
Or I'll end up like Daddy?
...or you'll end up like Daddy.
I'm sorry, while I'm glad that Lincoln's fathering again, Hariasa looks so unholy here, I think she must've threatened him into doing so.
Sherlock? I'm doing fine, I guess. I have seven kids now.
Come on now, perfect lead in there. "One of which is yours..."
It's 5am, Vár hasn't slept in like three years, and she wanted to make her boys blueberry pancakes. :(
It's nice to see that Lincoln can still be sort-of useful.
I'd feel sorry for Hlín here...
...if this hadn't been waiting for her in the doorway. (Yes, the nanny gets called every morning now.)
Hopefully, the nanny can take care of this...
...because Vár will be taking care of that.
While I am not opposed to you bedding Marlon in theory Vár, I might have a small objection to you doing it while Heimdallr is in the room, eating.
Hopefully, this will help Lincoln survive...even if he's gone a little bit crazy.
I don't care if that was cloned from the gnome or not, Marlon, you're not going to successfully steal a goddamn surfboard!
Is there some sort of elderly throw-down here that I'm interrupting?
For the last time, yes, you are all part-alien. Because your father is part-alien.
I see a light at the end of the tunnel!
Yes, Bruce-Brono, if I were to have a baby with Marlon here, it would not be part alien.
You're being a bit blasé about the man wandering your house in his underwear, Vár.
Marlon...I don't think they're interested in a three-way.
What is he doing here?
You'd have to ask your wife that question, Lincoln.
I'm not sure if everyone in the room is into voyeurism suddenly, or not.
This is the moment Generation 3 finally actually began to do something useful for once!
I am amazed at how well the twins get along. Especially considering how much more neglected Bruce-Baldr was.
I am tired of having a house full of toddlers.
You and me both, baby.
I bet Vár's tired of NEVER FUCKING SLEEPING, too.
I suddenly realized that this was the last time everyone was going to fit at the table to eat. But I had no idea how to fix the problem, so I ignored it!
Speaking of problems, Vár's puking again. Was it Lincoln, or was she just trying to make him think it could be him?
You'll help me with my homework every day, right, Mommy?
Every day you need it, sweetie.
By the way, Mommy has some important news. Mommy and Daddy are going to have another baby!
...I think you've broken Bruce-Baldr, Vár.
BAD VÁR!
Oh, to make things worse, it's during his homework session...
...that she stops to pop.
Seriously, honey, I had a big family because I was surprised with multiples, but I knew when to stop. Birth control isn't magical voodoo, it's science!
I always wanted a big family.
Did you always want to be a functional insomniac living on a caffeine drip?
Lincoln brought home a friend from work,
kingmike1224's Juanita Dobis.
Maybe she heard it was Bruce-Bragi's teen birthday?
However, it's not his birthday that disappointed Vár. (At least, not yet.)
THE QUADS went first. Hariasa continues on her path to being an even more frightening child...
Hel's got a great sort of WTF expression going on. Wonderful.
Hariasa is a beautiful blend of her folks, though.
Heimdallr also has grown into his face.
I think Hlín might resemble her mother more than the rest of them.
Especially since Hel appears to be the most unique looking of THE QUADS.
Hopefully the overall theme of disappointment will be canceled out by Bruce-Bragi.
WE GET IT
BABIES
Still can't decide if he's a carbon-copy of his dad, or if there's some Vár in him.
Won't know if it's fitting until we see whether or not he's painfully shy, I suppose.
I think it's wonderful that you're having another baby, Mommy!
To be honest, I don't know if Hlín is sincere, sarcastic, or stupid.
Bruce-Bragi is straight and...
...here's his yellow makeover. Rrowr.
Oh yeah, don't let the past few pictures fool you. THE QUADS? Majorly f'ed up.
I still don't think any one of them had as many unfortunate "incidents" as toddlers as Bruce-Baldr, and he managed to get over it!
What a wonderful birthday party, kids!
I think Vár may actually be insane.
Well, that's one kid back to being semi-well-adjusted.
Don't worry, Hel's around to bring Heimdallr right. back. down.
Even playing is making him feel worse. Brava!
Wow, these two look like the Tim Burton version of Generation Yellow, don't they?
Look, all I'm saying is that Mommy has so many kids that nobody will notice if you kidnap me until we've at least crossed one major ocean!
Finally, a show-off does something moderately skill-required.
Another kid ticked back over from "terrible rage" to "semi-normal."
Is it possible that after this horrible period of growing pains, the Borks are still a healthier, better adjusted family than the Randolphs?

Yes, I'm aware this update was really long. I just wrote it! I was originally going to break right after THE QUADS were born, but I just had to see what was in store. I guess it wasn't too bad, but it would've never have worked if Vár had a job. (Though I think she'd have built up enough leave between all the kids to take the same amount of time off.) So the length should also explain the sheer amount of cameos. That, and all the baby-daddies involved here.
Let's see if we'll make it to ten kids! :D
