New legacy house times!

So, playing the Laurinces and Delines has been getting kinda laggy, and it's not really the amount of sims on the lot or the size of the lot. I have a feeling it's the age of the lots, combined with the acquiring of stuff, since the places are pretty well decorated. And after awhile, Fortune sims' wants to buy X add up ( Read more... )

Found this through GoS, and wow, this house is brilliant! And I can use it! All the way down the page I was going, "Augh, it probably requires Pets or BV or FT or AL or ALL of them!" And then it didn't! Happyness.
I'm planning to use it for my legacy as soon as they get enough money. I usually like to build my own but my legacy houses always turn out annoyingly cramped and horrible to play, so this is excellent.

I've been debating getting BV or FT, though that's far off yet (it took me MONTHS to decide to get OfB and more months to actually install it), but I think at that point, I might break down and install AnyGameStarter for building.

I like to follow MATY's House of Fail threads, but I hate that everyone there has like every EP and SP installed and there's a no CC rule. I'd rather clean out CC I don't want than be excluded completely from a lot.

I couldn't build without NL or Seasons, though, because I love garages and I have to have that individual roof slope cheat! XD

I love both of the houses you made! They are very nice and look legacy playable.
I have a WCIF for you though, if you remember lol. The large table in the dining room and the wider arches. I know the largest maxis arches are 2 squares and yours look much bigger.

The table is from this set which I overuse, and probably everyone else does, too. It's just such a nicely done HUGE table with matching chairs.

Here's the arch set. It consists of the end piece and a center piece. It draws recolors from a base game Maxis door, so there's no extra texture files. Relaly useful.

I didn't have OfB for the longest time, so I feel your pain. Since I did share an unfurnished version, and I can guarantee I didn't use any OfB build elements like doors or the special roofs...it might theoretically work if you've got at least Seasons after it, like I do. Then the game engine is on your side.

I always intended to try something like that out (installing a lot made under OfB when I was only running Uni/NL/Seasons), but I never ended up doing it. So I can't make any guarantees, only an offer that it MIGHT be possible.

I love the style of the house. I'll redecorate, since I furnish things a little different for game play.

Also, I would love to get my hands on your CC/downloads folder, after reading through your posts. I love the way you organize/clean everything up, and I want it all!!! lol.

Beautiful! I love your building and your sims. I've been fighting with myself to get one of your houses because they're so beautiful I kind of feel bad but I'm going to redecorate as I can! This house is so beautiful and since I suck at making houses I have to download, but the distressing thing is, if they're not build for legacy use, there just isn't enough rooms, or room in general for the kids to roam freely in! ((And I have this spectacular problem with keeping my sims from having eight kids!))
