Bye Orchid! :( She was so awesome. And old! I really love that graveyard, btw.
It's always a fun thing to discover one of your legacies on my friends list. I usally get a drink and sit down to read through it all. I enjoy them so much. Now I feel like playing again. Thanks!
Orchid was terrific, she was like two sims in one--a totally different person after becoming a plantsim.
The graveyard's pretty simple...a 1x4 lot, I think, and I just made the paths with terrain paint. Buddha's hiding the batbox so I can respawn graves, and there's a fence.
...just kind of the same ones, I've been on the same lot for about eight generations. With about eight to go, it's probably best to just move them--the Laurinces have definitely accumulated more junk than the ISBI families do, so while I made it ten gens on the Randolph lot, that's a slightly different situation.
JUUUUUULIAN! Sorry, I still love Julian to bits. Did you keep Isaac in his skin or give him a new one? I think his nose might not look so tiny if it weren't for that ephemera blend he was born with.
On my ISBIs, there are still some graves, but I moved about half of the Randolphs' graves off lot just because it seems to get laggy. I don't really have any qualms about the Laurinces' graves at this point, because I've been playing forever in my ORIGINAL Veronaville, so I can do what I want. I think I moved the Delines' graves around Gen 7 or so. Ghosts can be annoying even when they're not killing everyone.
Sorry about Orchid. :( I really liked her. She was the best one to come out of the merge. I have been wondering where you got her hair. Is it a recolor?
Love the pairing of Evangelina and Quimby - they make a great couple! Quimby stroke gold with her. The triplets are adorable. :)
Aw, well, I understand that if I'm not going to cheat, every sim will eventually die. Orchid was just awesome enough to take as long as possible to do so! And I never thought about it, but her being a byproduct of the merge might be half her appeal.
Her hair's a pretty mediocre retexture I did. It involved some handpainting, and I keep meaning to redo it, which is why I've never shared it. That's actually how I managed to accidentally delete her hair at one point, because it was still sitting in SavedSims, not even in the Downloads folder yet!
Quimby did strike gold, because Evangelina has taken to family life more calmly than any other Romance sim with no subaspiration has in my game, that's for sure!
I'll try to remember to nab Evang the next time I extract sims. Though she is just a townie, sometimes randomness results in adorable.
Well, what I've got in my game right now is lacking a bit, like the colors I don't use. And there's some curliness to the texture that I mucked up the first time around. I honestly want to try and remake it, I'm just not sure how quick I can be about it (it might *require* hand-painting to work and I need to be patient enough to do it right), so I won't promise advent or anything!
I haven't been back to the household yet, I am going to have a Randolph update after the Borks, and my last couple gameloads have been solely to take preview pictures. I decided to do advent on a whim, and I have secret santa gifts to finish on top of that. :)
So...I'm totally a lying liar. I, of course, opened Bodyshop tonight because I have things to be doing in there. But I looked at the hair. And I think I redid it passably. And I'm importing the different colors now.
I'm still not sure where in my mess of things it's getting posted, but it will more than likely be on a numbered day before Christmas. ;)
It's still got quite a few things I've already taken previews of ahead of it in line.

Ahem. Glad you got most of your computer issues straightened out.
Aww, I'm sorry that Orchid is gone. Hopefully you'll have a lot of personality among the six (six!) current/future kidlings.

Anyway, I'd never seen Orchid's hair recolored before, either Pookletted or Nouked. I hope you'll share it. Maybe as part of your advent? ;)
Did Quimby and Evangelina have more kids since the update?
