This totally made me laugh. I love the idea of Gen-chan as a patient because he'd so totally be a sucky one. It reminds me of my ex, who was a horrible one.

Yukimura is so spot on. Not a lot of sympathy there, as it should be. I love their interactions. Neither being completely spineless.

I love the bit about Niou at the end. I ♥ on Niou because he's such an ass. And he so would take advantage in any situation he could.

His poor, poor hat, all lost and not on his head. *hugs Gen-chan and runs away*

It really makes me want to use my Girl!Sanada icon with the keywords: I didn't agree to this....but I like this art better. So, imagine that the icon key words are: Girl!Sanada: I didn't agree to this. (he's also pouting, which is cute.)

Thank you for such a nice, in-depth comment to this fic! I think it wins for being the best FB I've gotten from a fic challenge yet. ;) Maybe I should write part 2: How Sanada gets his revenge on Niou for spiking his IV with laxative.

Ok. My favorite part about this is how Sanada keeps comparing his current situation to when Yukimura was in the hospital. He can't let go, and uses it as one more thing to stand up to, to strive for. Even in a humiliation he looks at Yukimura to set the precedent, as his captain, as someone to become. And Yukimura knows he's doing it, and so he gives him what help he can, the aspirin, the signing and message, the crutch as Niou defense. It's very well done.

Hm, I hadn't thought about it quite that concretely. Thank you for the review -- I guess in my head, Sanada is fabulous because he's got a fabulous guy to chase. "In front of every fabulous seme is a fabulous uke" ? << OK, nm.

This was a nice, enjoyable read. ^^ I love how Seichi decides that Sanada himself needs extra training with Renji, and the moment Sanada asks him to come instead. A little moment of vulnerability that made me go *wibble*. :) Loved this!

Sanada fails at being vulnerable most of the time. I think that's why Yukimura loves it when Sanada's sick. :D
