Also, I just got the news that my WWII gay romance short story "Lost and Found in the Pacific" was accepted for a Torquere Press charity anthology

Just got done reading the article: you're right, the Athos/D'Artagnan subtext is barely subtext. (How did I miss that the first time I read it? Probably because I was twelve.)

I signed up for the Storm Moon Press newsletter today. I have decided to try to write something for one of the anthology calls. (I am thinking of the 'First Time' January one. That gives me lots of time to think.

Check out the Torquere monthly "sips" calls too - the low wordcount might make them easy to get into.

ETA: Don't forget that Riptide has a completely open Anniversary Call the first week in October! A long as it's GLBT with at least strong romantic content, and between 10,000 and 100,000 words, they'll look at it. (And they're usually an invitation-only press.) You ought to be able to do SOMETHING for them!

...I have the sneaking feeling that they're going to get a lot of AU versions of a certain pair of boys we know and love.
