Chapter One)
"Face it, Tegoshi. You fell in love with her." Massu said to his best friend during lunch in NEWS's dressing room.
"Pbft!" Tegoshi spit out the white rice he was eating in surprise. "What are you talking about!?" Tegoshi's cheeks were flaming red.
"Well, you showed off many obvious hints. I mean, you seemed so excited when you were talking about what happened so, the case is that you're in love with a girl you don't know, Tegoshi..."
"I may not know her, but she looks like someone I've seen before..."
"Maybe we can help you find her!" Massu smiled.
"Really!?" Tegoshi's eyes beamed like a 5-year old hearing about stories of Santa Claus.
"Sure, maybe Shige will help, too. Ne, Shige?" Massu turned to Shige who was now reading his script for his stage show.
"Come again?" Apparently Shige wasn't listening at all since he was so into looking at his lines for his play.
"Tegoshi seems to be in love with some girl he doesn't know and thought you could help us find her."
Shige groaned. "Why me?"
"Pweeeeease, Shige..." Tegoshi whined with a puppy-dog pout on his face.
Shige sighed. "Fine, fine, I'll do it. So, what does she look like?"
"Umm, well, she's really cute..." Tegoshi smiled.
Shige frowned and shook his head. "That's not enough detail..."
"And umm, she had brown, wavy hair and chocolate-colored eyes. Her face...a tiny bit pudgy and it kinda resembles a goldfish, but still, it makes her very cute. And uhh--"
"You mean former Morning Musume member, Konno Asami?" Shige cut off Tegoshi's words.
"Eh!? Shige, you know her!?"
"Well, no, but I see her on the streets a lot in Shibuya so I think your description exactly fits her. Ah, I also heard she studies at Keio University like Sho-kun did..."
"Is that so? Then she must be really intellegent." And that's when Tegoshi's lightbulb turned on. "Ne, Shige, why don't you go there and find her personal documents and give me a copy tomorrow?"
"Why me? Besides, they're personal documents. And if you read them, that's invasion of someone's privacy!" Shige warned in a strict tone.
"But you're the smart one!" Tegoshi fired back. "Please do it, Shige! I'll pay you ¥1000 if you do it!"
"Make it ¥2500!"
Tegoshi shook Shige's hand firmly. "Deal!"
The next day Shige was walking on the Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus "in disguise". Well, not really a disguise but, he wore his black-framed reading glasses, a white button-down shirt, nice denim jeans and a gray backpack so he'd look like any other normal student studying at a prestigious academy. I can't believe I'm actually doing this. Well, at least I'm getting paid for it...
Shige headed to the main office building in order to find Asami's personal documents. Inside, he went to the main desk and saw a middle-aged lady working at the desk.
"Excuse me, I'm looking for personal documents of a student that goes here."
The lady at the desk looked up Shige. "Whose documents are you looking for?"
"A girl by the name of Konno Asami-san."
"And what might be your relations to this Konno-san?"
Shige flinched for a moment. Lie, Shigeaki. Just make a little white lie and you'll make it safe on home plate. "I-I'm her cousin. My name is Konno Shigeaki."
The lady nodded then went to the tall briefcase with all of the information of every student attending Keio. In less than five minutes, she pulled out a thick, pastel-yellow folder filled with papers and the front of the folder read "Konno Asami - Personal Documents".
"Is this what you are looking for, Shigeaki-kun?" She handed him the folder and he smiled.
Jackpot! He thought to himself. "Umm, is it okay if I make a copy of a few papers?"
"Go ahead. The copy machine is to your left." She pointed at the big machine.
Shige bowed in deep respect. "Thank you very much." And he used the machine to make copies of Asami's profile.
Meanwhile, in the courtyard of the campus, Asami was on a bench looking at the scenery and also wondering about what happened a few days ago. That man was so nice, yet why do I feel like I've met him in the past? And I feel like I'm getting more attracted to him...
"Is there something wrong, young miss?"
Asami was startled to see who was talking to her. It was none other than Arashi's Sakurai Sho!
"Y-You're...Arashi's...Sakurai...Sho...san...? What are you doing here? I thought you've already graduated Keio five years ago..."
Sho smiled and sat down next to her. "Yeah, but I thought I'd come back and take a walk on Nostalgia Lane, you know what I mean?"
Asami laughed at Sho's humor. "Ah! I forgot my manners. My name is Konno Asami." She bowed her head lightly.
"Ah yes, you're a former member of Morning Musume, right? Well, yoroshiku ne, Asami-chan."
"Hai. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu, Sakurai-san."
"Now tell me something, Asami-chan, you seemed to have a serious look on your face, were you thinking about something?"
"More like, someone. I bumped into a guy at a bakery in Omotesando and I feel like I've met him before..."
"Ehh, is that so?"
Asami nodded. "And when I looked at the bag he was carrying, I think his name was on it."
"Do you remember the name written on the bag by any chance?" Sho questioned.
"Hai, I believed 'Tegoshi Yuya' was written on the bag..."
"Ahh, Tegoshi from NEWS, huh?"
"Ah, you know him?"
"Well, we're under the same company so, yeah, I guess you can put that way."
Asami smiled then fidgeted. "Umm, can I ask you a favor, Sakurai-san?"
"Sure. What is it?"
Asami took out her personal notepad and pink pen, scribbled something on the paper, ripped it out, folded it and handed it to Sho. "C-Could you hand this to Tegoshi-san for me?" Asami blushed.
Sho took her note and smiled. "Of course."
Asami beamed and bowed again. "Thank you so much! I'm very grateful, Sakurai-san."
"No problem."
Later that day, Shige came back to the dressing room with the copied profile of Asami and found Tegoshi waiting impatiently. When Tegoshi spotted Shige at the doorway, he charged at him.
"Cough up that information, Shige!!" Tegoshi tried to grab the papers put Shige raised them higher than Tegoshi's head.
"Money first, then information comes next." Shige corrected.
Tegoshi grabbed his wallet and paid Shige his money so they could trade.
Tegoshi read the documents out loud. "'Konno Asami, born May 7, 1987'. Oh, same age as me. 'Hometown is Sapporo, Hokkaido, blood type is B'. Ah, same blood type, too." Tegoshi kept reading on and on.
Shige shook his head. "God, you're like a friggin' annoying, little brother reading his older sister's diary..."
Tegoshi got pissed off by Shige's comment. "Am not!"
"Haha, seems like you guys are having fun!" It was Sho at the doorway this time.
"Sho-kun! What are you doing here?" Shige questioned.
"I have a note for Tegoshi from a certain someone named Konno Asami." Sho replied and showed off the note.
Tegoshi's head shot up. "EH!?!?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!"
*insert dramatic music here* Sorry if I'm cutting it at the most important scene, I like creating suspense for the readers!! xDDD
I can't believe I made Shige fake as Konkon's cousin. Lols. What's wrong with my brain indeed? It's full of the weirdest mysteries that no one can solve!! And I thought it'd be fun if I added Sho-chan in the story since he also went to Keio like Konkon, no? :3
Well, catch ya on the flipside!! ;)
Comments = Love!! <333
